iOS 18 Speculation Thread

its not too soon, we have seen updates before the same week of the release, the following week, 2 weeks later, etc.
Yep crossing my fingers for the 18.0.1 update today. Battery life in 18.0 is just terrible.
Usually I’d say 18.0.1 is coming today since a new iPhone was just released, but I think they might rush out 18.1 beta 5 to fix the M4 iPad issue.

The issue with the M4 iPads weren't on 18.1 but 18.0 if I remember correctly. The fix would be 18.0.1 not 18.1 beta 5.
Oh nevermind then. So they’ll rush 18.0.1 out lol
Someone here smarter than me will correct me if that information is wrong, but I do believe the bricking was happening on 18.0.
Was Visual Intelligence added to the 18.1, or is that still coming later? I read an article saying it was coming with 18.1 release in October, but I didn't know if that was accurate.
Ok cool thanks. That actually looks like a rather useful feature of AI. Hopefully if it doesn't come to 18.1 it will be 18.2.
I suppose it’s possible that it may still come with 18.1 since beta 5 will be the first beta release since the 16 was released.

Really? Battery life has been excellent for me on my 16 Pro running 18.1 B4.
Hopefully 18.1 B5 does come out today though but I highly doubt it, I'm thinking tomorrow.

I’d love 18.1 beta update today but somehow doubt it. More likely tomorrow.
You never know with 18.1, they could have it on Monday still. Beta 4 was 20 day slow, compared to the other 14 day betas. So might have beta 5 already done while perfecting beta 4 as the PB launch and want to accelerate the cycle now.
Seems like no update (18.0.1). Maybe tomorrow. The touchscreen problem on my 16 PM is annoying.
