I know an 18.4 beta probably wouldn’t be required for it, but often things like this still roll-out the same week as a new beta. (Also, earlier rumors about this new service indicated that it will be tied to a new app). And it signals some activity at Apple HQ next week. 👍🏻

Can’t ignore that the odds for 18.4 coming this week have increased with the invites service even if requirements is just 18.3, shows more activity this week.

It kinda sounds more reasonable to me for this to be part of the 18.4 release? And it may launch in beta this week with the first 18.4 beta.
Not quite sure how this would work being added as an ad-hoc, especially if it's a new app as well.

A another example of Apple achieving things before next beta cycle. The no longer beta Jan 15th 2025 MacOS Game Porting Toolkit 2.0 DMG 82.37 megabytes.

Most think so. It will up maybe today or as late as Thursday like a few recent examples.

could be right about 18.3.1 they not going to be sitting on not releasing bug fixes till april when 18.4 is rumored to come out
No chance, to soon after 18.3 release.
18.3.1 would be next week at the latest. Only exception would be a serious security exploit.
As previously posted. Security patches are often research extensively, not spur of the moment solutions. A lot of patching occurs well after it's been reported, but deployment risk is not trivial like expected minor point release a week after 18.3.
