I’m not sure how wise it is to encourage drinking with how stressed these beta updates make people sometimes…
Hopefully we get 18.4 beta 1 tomorrow. It’s disappointing we didn’t get it today, but I’m still hopeful for this week. I don’t see any reason it wouldn’t drop this week, and if it doesn’t happen this week, we wouldn’t get a full complete beta cycle, which I think we’re going to want/need for an update of the size that 18.4 is rumored to be.
I can’t see it (a first beta) coming tomorrow or later this week at this point, so next week perhaps 🤡

Yeah, if they waited until next week, they would literally basically just be throwing away a beta version and burning valuable time needed to beta test such a large and important update. We wouldn’t get a complete beta cycle at that point. It just seems like it would be a waste, I see no reason to waste so much time. We got months worth of boring 18.3 betas, but not months worth of betas for the most important update for all of iOS 18?!!! Yeah, hopefully we get a beta this week, I have to admit, I’m going to be kind of irritated if they drag their feet all the way til next week…
Wouldn’t be shocked if they aren’t even close to having these new features ready.
We know 18.4 is coming out in April. That could mean April 1, but it can also mean April 30. They have plenty of time.
Come on now, many of us here know far too well to get our hopes up…
With no beta today, I am going to say next week at the earliest. But I am getting that feeling we are going to be waiting awhile. If iOS 18 has taught us anything, it's not been the best roll out. Waitlist and all. Now I don't believe we get a full beta cycle for 18.4. Seems like a very poor choice by Apple, but what the heck do I know.
Not talking about soon as in today, though it could still happen today (less likely, but possible). I’m talking about soon sometime this week.

Yeah, I think even if they went all the way to April 30th, it would still only land us at like 6 or 7 betas if they waited until next week. Not a very long beta cycle for the update that is supposed to be the update of all iOS 18…

If 18.4 is such a big update it would take attention away from the new Invites app announcement. I could understand if they want to space them out for that reason.
what’s all the pointing out a „complete beta cycle“? Did 18.3 not have a complete beta cycle? It had a beta 1 to start with and a release marking the end of the beta cycle. That is what I (and everybody familia with software development) call a complete beta cycle.
What makes a cycle complete for you? 6 betas? 8? Why not 27 so it’s even more complete!
