So why is it okay to release a $1200 phone and advertise Apple intelligence everywhere trying to mislead people? Why is it okay to have 3 months now of zero updates for Apple intelligence? And announcing a new phone today, doing the exact same bs acting like it’s gonna have AI.
How has anyone been “mislead”? We knew Apple Intelligence wouldn’t be available on day one, Apple told us the features would roll out over several updates. And we already have quite a few of the promised Apple Intelligence features, there’s just some more on their way.

You do realize that it isn’t a human right to get a new Apple Intelligence update every less-than-3-months, right? Apple never promised all Apple Intelligence features would be available at once with no spacing, and on day one. Yet they’re somehow “misleading” people because that apparently was your unrealistic expectation?

The iPhone 16E will have AI. It will have AI features on day one when people receive them. They will not likely have all of the AI features planned to come in iOS 18, but they will have plenty of them…

The people on this forum and installing betas are a far cry from the general public. Apple Intelligence was front and center in marketing and the ‘Coming Later’ was always fine print.

Sure you and I knew, but I’m sure the average consumer didn’t and I am also sure that Apple was banking on that fact in order to sell more phones. Having a small footnote that says (coming spring) at the bottom of their unethical misleading marketing doesn’t mean it’s not unethical and misleading.

Apple said in the iPhone announcements that some Apple Intelligence features would be coming later. No misleading…

They literally said in the events that Apple Intelligence features would be coming later. That’s not misleading….

Have you ever worked retail with the general public?
Did you ever watch the iPhone announcements or read the “Learn More” page? They clearly said that Apple Intelligence features would be coming in later updates they were upfront about that. Don’t accuse Apple of “misleading” people when they told people Apple Intelligence features would come later, and some people apparently decided to ignore them…

So you understood my point? Average consumer is not clicking on all that nonsense. They see the ad on TV that clearly markets the phones having AI. Can agree to disagree, the general consensus is clear that Apple was misleading.

General consensus? Two dudes on the internet equals general consensus now? What a riot. And All of the features I’ve seen them advertise in ads are already out and available…

PS, people can’t accuse someone of “misleading” them when they were too lazy to listen…

Feel free to do your own digging to see how people feel, throughout the months on various forums it is clear how most people feel about Apple’s marketing of Apple intelligence.

People are too lazy to read or listen AND Apple was banking on that fact and used it to mislead people into buying the phone 👍. It’s not either or.

All the 16 promo showed the ‘new’ Siri with the outer edge animation, how many months later did that launch? The general public sees that in an ad and they’re expecting their phone to do the day they buy it.

There’s a reason even Apple didn’t try to showcase all stuff we’re really excited for 18.5 for yet. Because they weren’t even ready with something like visual intelligence on day one.

No, you’re just stating your subjective opinions as facts. I doubt that any forms like this one would actually give us an accurate picture of the average Apple customer. And how do you quantify “most”? That’s just more of your subjective opinion… Furthermore, Apple is including all the features they promised the hardware will support, and never promised all of those features would be available day one, in fact, they did the exact opposite and told people that Apple Intelligence would be coming in future updates, so no misleading is involved. If Apple promise every feature on day one, and then they weren’t there, that would be misleading. But that’s not what happened. You’re trying to make an extremely week argument to accuse Apple of “misleading” people, even though it flies in the face of the actual fact and evidence, you know, like when they literally told us several times that Apple Intelligence would be released in future updates…. I don’t know what axe you have to grind with Apple, but that’s ridiculous, and is actually dishonest to accuse a company of something that the evidence actually contradicts…

More weak-sauce anti-Apple slander that is easily disproven by the actual evidence…. Apple literally repeatedly told us Apple Intelligence would be available in later updates, yet because you believe some were too lazy to listen, you falsely accuse Apple of “misleading” them. If you’re too lazy to listen, then it’s your own dang fault when you’re disappointed because you had false expectations that would have been quickly dismissed if you had actually taken the time to, I don’t know, read the about page, or watch the announcement…

How convenient for Apple, what a coincidence!

How convenient you want to twist and distort things, and make claims that fly in the face of the actual evidence and facts. If someone is too lazy to read the about section before buying a product, then that’s completely on them for being lazy and negligent.

PS, I just went and checked, and every iPhone 16 Apple Intelligence ad from Apple that came out before the features were available specifically had in print on the add that those features were coming in future updates.

I never followed him, I’m pointing this out so others don’t get their hopes up based on his “predictions” just to get let down…
Much like this thread? Its today, No its tomorrow. No its next week . Apple has never done xxxx. Apple always does yyyy so it today at 1:21. No way its today because its 1:02. 🤣 Guys dont get your hopes up reading this "speculation" thread please so you are not let down. 🤣

Technically, we could get a late in the day beta today, but I think tomorrow is unfortunately more likely at this point. It would be consistent with the x.4 beta on Thursday trend.
