CarPlay has weather now? Sweet.

Car Play has had weather apps for quite awhile now. This is a new widget screen

They’ve been clickbait for a long time. Their live blog is just one snarky comment after another. Kind of insufferable. I blame most of it on Nilay Patel.

I cannot seem to get wired CarPlay working on an aftermarket Sony XAV-AX1000 head unit. I can get wireless CarPlay working with a dongle, but wired the phone only charges. Anyone else with similar issues?

I don’t know if it is just me, but on my iPad mini (6th gen) running iPadOS 26, I can’t get the Magic Trackpad to work wirelessly. I have to keep it connected via the USB-C to lightning cable at all times. Once I disconnect it, the Trackpad doesn’t work at all….this is a bug, for sure…I think.

Any thoughts?

what is iphone 16E modem fireware in IOS 26 beta 1 keep in mind it came with 1.0.13 fireware and not the same has the normal iphone 16 phones the iphone 16E modem fireware should be listed separately

Can you not just hold and drag it back up? Works for me.

I believe you have to bring the clock size to its default size for widgets to go back up

Because it's not there. It's in the menu where you could previously set your icons to dark or tinted.

The Settings app lets you swipe gesture in the middle of the screen to go back instead of having to swipe from the corner. Not sure if it's anywhere else.

The music app does the same and makes it nearly impossible to queue songs. Really hoping this is just a bug.

Has anyone had any success in downloading the IPSWICH file for 14 Pro max ?

14 Pro here. I was able to download it but i can’t install it. I believe it’s incorrectly labeled iPhone 15,3. It’s supposed to be 15,2. I noticed the 14 Pro Max loads an error page. Hopefully they update both of them.

Umm accessibility features still exist and you can turn off the glass effect.

You should not have to use accessibility features unless you need them. This update will force a lot of people to turn off these effects as they make the software unusable in many conditions. How anyone can defend the control centre and overall lack of attention to the legibility aspect is beyond me.

Oh really? I never noticed. I like the widget screen but if would be nice if there was just a little temperature icon on the left hand side bar that always displayed the current temperature.
