I’m noticing more frequently that the wrong contact photo is displayed in the Recent Call History after a call.

Scrolling the entry off screen and back on a few times usually fixes it…

I'm missing the "Search" field in the Contacts. Anyone else experiencing this issue? It's available in the Last Calls list, but not in the contacts. In was there in Beta 2. Anyone?

Mine is still there… full bar if you open front the actual Contacts app, and a round button with a magnifying glass in it if you open contacts from the Phone app.

I have the bar in the Contacts app and the round icon with the hour glass in Contacts from the Phone app. This is on the Unified style in the phone app. If I switch to the Classic style, no search is there.

If I switch to the Classic style (in the phone app) I have the letters of the alphabet running down the right side. If I’m lucky I can actually touch near the letter I’m trying for 🤣

Ios26 seems to be a nothing burger, AI is of no interest to me (even with most of it missing). It does look like the iPad has received some much needed changes. I wish they would just FIX THE BUGS!! Apple has really been dropping the ball IMO. The thing that is saving Appke’s butt is that there is no competition, every other OS is a data collection app.

I wasn't getting calls from unknown numbers, and Apple activated its supposed spam filtering solution by default without warning. I had it disabled because it doesn't filter anything, and all it achieved was that I missed important calls from government organizations.

Total 💩. B3 is a little better, but I am still not sure how all of a sudden my fingers after being on iPhone since the original, are hitting V, B and N. Also, O and P are hard to click unless younarev (you can see N and V) hitting them straight on.

Seems 18.5 and 18.6 does the same thing. I figured I had just gotten crappy at using the keyboard!

There's a setting to enable that.

Settings > General > Screen Capture (right above the CarPlay settings.

Tried. Still sends them right to voicemail.

Do you have “silence unknown callers” turn on? It’s a setting in the phone app settings which was introduced a few years ago

On b3 using more battery than normal throughout the day AND still got the erratic MagSafe chaging from b2. Reported to Apple .16 Pro Max.

I've now run so many betas on my 16 Pro Max and had a whole raft of little problems, and I'm stuck with intermittent internet connectivity. I've had the hardware tested, and that seems to be OK.

Has anybody tried nuking the phone to ground zero, deleting everything, resetting it, and then reinstalling the operating system? From scratch? I'm wondering whether this might flush out what's causing the odd problem?

You could try:

1) reinstalling DB3 from an IPSW file, as it will effectively overwrite your iOS, but will keep the data intact;

2) if the step 1 above does not help, restore your iPhone, flushing everything, installing iOS 18.5 and then putting your stuff back from the previously archived backup on your computer. If you don’t have iOS 18 backup, but keep most of your data in the iCloud, your iPhone will still pull it from it and you would just need to redo your screen layout and settings manually.

Since I update with IOS 26 Beta 3 overall is much better but there is a big problem using mail. Once you try to use the search bar it will always crash. It is enough to insert just a single letter and the mail app will crash. Actually the same problem is on IPAD and MAC......Anyone have the same problem?

No issues here on iPhone, iPad or Mac, in fact the speed of search results appearing is lightning fast.

I hope there will be a way to remove the frosted glass outer edge (I know there won't be). This has borked my clear widgets.

Out of curiosity, what's the use case for a clear widget over just leaving that space blank entirely?

It was working before I erased my phone and restored from iCloud.

Now I just get the message to try again. I contacted my bank and they can’t figure it out either.

That’s really strange, don’t have that on my end. And verification codes get to me immediately

Try choosing classic view instead of unified on the phone app, for me that was the solution in B2.
