Out of curiosity, what's the use case for a clear widget over just leaving that space blank entirely?
It's a quick way to push the other icons either further down the page or, as in my case, create a blank first page. (I have my daughter as my wallpaper and I like to see her before moving onto apps).

Also, since it's a stack, I have other widgets behind the blank that I like to use.

Anyone else having problems verifying their bank card for Apple Pay?

It was working before I erased my phone and restored from iCloud.

Now I just get the message to try again. I contacted my bank and they can’t figure it out either.

Thanks for any help. 16pro
Yes, I'm getting the same with one card (Mastercard). Another card (Visa) set up fine.

Based on the Beta 3 feedback the public beta is going to be very interesting. My guess is that Apple will skip the public beta next week and focus on beta 4 for the 21st. Then release public beta 1.

Having some network connectivity issues. Even after Network Reset. Whether on WiFi or Cellular, looses connectivity for a bit. Airplane mode on/off usually resolves.

And why would that be? DB3 works quite well on my old iPhone 11 and it is not any worse than iOS 18.0 DB3, which later became PB1 last year. We might get a newer build for PB1, but it will still be DB3 reloaded. So my guess is - PB1 next week, then DB4 the week after.

It's possible we get a revised beta 3 before we get a public beta. All they said for public was July, so there is plenty of time.

Some bugs I see from skimming this thread:
  • Search is available in Contacts app, but not Contacts within Phone app in Classic View
  • Cannot save a bookmark to the Home Screen
  • Cannot change your Apple password if your phone is locked with a password (not passcode)
Outside of that, there are multiple app compatibility issues and a lot of visual inconsistencies and bugs.

Also, I am getting voicemails with no missed call notifications. Just me?

This is why. ⬇️⬇️

Essentially B3 does still have system critical bugs that would drive public users crazy. The calls and VMs especially. 99.99% could care less about apps, but 100% care about their phone calls and texts.

This is exactly what makes me wonder, how a beta that's not able to perform basic phone tasks, leaves the servers.

...and please hold the comments, yes, i know it's a beta, but come on, this is basic functionality!

Does anyone have call filtering working on their iPad? its turned on on mine but I get a call from an unknown number it rings like normal?

I guessing maybe my iPhone needs to be on iOS 26 as well?

Why does a bar appear in Safari when scrolling

It’s a Developer beta, a branch off the main trunk. Its main purpose is tor developers to test the new API’s on *their* apps, not for developers to test Apples apps.

The issue with MagSafe charging for me on past betas is that it seemed to randomly connect/disconnect, at least when using a MagSafe battery. I tested 3, 2 of which only had normal wireless charging and 1 which had qi2. All featured the same random disconnection issue. Have not yet been able to test in b3 though
I'm having this issue myself with a Qi2 stand from TwelveSouth

This flies over people’s heads every year… don’t waste your breath 😂. It’s why so may of the ‘usual’ members here and devs opt to stay out of these threads until the Public Betas start rolling out - too much of… well, you’ve seen it… around here.

Since I update with IOS 26 Beta 3 overall is much better but there is a big problem using mail. Once you try to use the search bar it will always crash. It is enough to insert just a single letter and the mail app will crash. Actually the same problem is on IPAD and MAC......Anyone have the same problem?
Just tried and no problem here on iPhone 16 Pro Max. Searches away very happily

You can barely call it Liquid Glass anymore. I want to go back to beta 2.
You can.

iOS betas don’t get unsigned until way later, so you can download the iPSW for beta 1 or beta 2 from iPSW.dev if you’re not a developer. I did this back in 2019 when iOS 13 beta 4 eliminated the iOS 12 style Force Touch actions platter and again in 2021 when iOS 15 beta 6 removed the actual floating Safari tab bar (vindicated 🥹).

Anyway, yeah, it’s possible if you really want to.

The space, visually, around text and iconography, is more important than the actual text/iconography itself.

We read the space. The space between items onscreen gives our eyes time to relax. Lack of space make the experience hectic for our brains.
More important? I understand the use of whitespace/negative space in design but sorry, to me extra space with text can break up the flow of the information and can make the hierarchy of what's being presented seem disjointed. Plus it requires more scrolling which also has an effect on the eyes keeping track of the flow.

My cards on the iPhone are OK. The cards on AWU are added, verified, but when I summon the wallet on AWU for a contactless transaction… it does not work. Yeah, both 16PM and AWU 1 are on 16b3
