Based on the Beta 3 feedback the public beta is going to be very interesting. My guess is that Apple will skip the public beta next week and focus on beta 4 for the 21st. Then release public beta 1.
generally, beta 4 or even beta 5 is already ready. Bugs found in beta 3 will probably fixed in beta 6 or 7. if there are some critical bugs in b3, Apple will mostly release a newer build b3 and make it the pb

It’s a Developer beta, a branch off the main trunk. Its main purpose is tor developers to test the new API’s on *their* apps, not for developers to test Apples apps.
Public beta isn’t some special other build, if it’s not working properly in developer beta it’s not suddenly going to work properly in a public beta of the same build.

Still experiencing several screen dimming moments due to heat. Especially when on CarPlay. Additionally, I’ve noticed my battery health go from 100% at the start of beta 1 to now 96%.

iOS needs a snow leopard moment.

Don’t install a developer beta on your personal daily device if you’re not willing to risk battery health :)
I really wish people would stop with the “doNt InStAlL oN yOuR pRiMaRy DeViCe” posts. I have had the 16 Pro Max, I fully understand it’s not going to be at 100% forever, nor do I care. I was simply making an observation that in the month I’ve been on beta, the health has dropped. Thanks :)

Anyone know the difference in the two arrowed colours of glass as I can’t?

Beta 3. Fully charged phone, locked and left at home, drained itself in 9 hours.

There are multiple factors at play, like when the beta was installed, whether your iPhone was connected to a WiFi or cellular while hibernating and what apps ran in the background.

Do you remember how long it would last with 18.5?

With an install of such a big new version the battery health is „measured“ again and yes, especially the first betas are demanding for the battery.
It’s pretty normal and as already said, your battery health will degrade nevertheless. With or without a beta.

It’s an early beta
Yes, beta 3 to be exact. What you want to say with that?
Swipe up and to the right and it’ll go to the previous app. Or you could just swipe the home bar to the right as well to go to previous app :)
Yeah, I have no issues with moving from app to app, the issue comes when I want to close an app and instead close the one I’m using. For example when I open the wrong one and quickly open the right one, I slide up to close the wrong one but fail.
