This version disabled my auto brightness. Very bizarre.

15 Pro, I went to check battery this morning and it had a card telling me enabling auto brightness would increase battery life. Shined my Apple Watch flashlight on it and sure enough, it didn't react. Had to re-enable in accessibility.

They should have been doing this since June.
Yes, developers should have started work since June, but their temporary fixes were demolished by the significant changes in the next beta.

This year’s iOS is particularly challenging, a rare occurrence that happens once a decade. The last one was iOS 7. Therefore, it makes sense for developers, especially those in larger companies, to prioritize tasks. They should adopt iOS Liquid Glass as soon as possible or focus on building other meaningful features before moving on to design adoption.

that's interesting - i'm seeing updates being pushed through right now, with explicit mentions of Liquid Glass and iOS/iPadOS 26 support. namely Wipr (this one is forcing me to the Mac version for some reason) and StikDebug
Huh, it appears you are right. Checked my updates and there's also a couple I see mentioning it. I could've sworn in the past they got held back until the new version came out.

IPSW upgrade to iOS 26.0 RC not working:
  • No new iTunes executable for Windows
  • I'm not willing to upgrade my macOS 18.6 Sequoia to macOS 26.0 RC Tahoe
  • The required software is not yet uploaded in the server
So I guess, I'll just OTA update to iOS 18.7 RC for the time being.

I read that it is possible to get the required software files from the Xcode 26 RC and install via IPSW. But TBH, I have enough headaches in my life right now to be worrying about bugs, so I am happy on 18.7 RC.

Has anyone with the RC been able to enable airpods beta firmware updates? I am on public beta and do not see the option to enable that.
I had them enabled up until this point, but the option has disappeared from my AirPods page as well. From other posts I have read, they have been moved under the Developer Tools section in settings, which I also seemingly lack (even though I am on the DB).

I doubt we get a beta of Live Translation before the main release anyway. I assume that will arrive when the main release of iOS 26 does.

So they haven’t fixed the icon redraws when scrolling quickly on the Home Screen then . 16 pro.

I wonder if the new phones have the same problems.
Can’t see them not having the problem? Seems software related so unless they ship with a newer build it should be the same no matter the speed of the CPU.

The RC works great for me on 13 Mini. Very fast and great battery life.

Is the MacBook also getting a liquid glass update?
