Do the third party app developers start updating their apps for Liquid Glass now or do they start next week?
Next week.

But don't be too surprised if it takes a while or the updates are more subtle than expected - the consensus from developers seems to be that this year has been difficult, and getting something acceptable with Liquid Glass hasn't been easy at all.

Weird, CarPlay is now flipping to the Facebook widget on my screen instead of the analog clock. The Facebook widget isn’t an option as I deleted it from CarPlay on my phone. Never happened in any iOS 26 beta.

My main gripe is the keyboard, outside of that, it doesn’t matter all that much, even if it is subtle.

PSA: Sleep score shows up regardless of what model of Apple Watch you’re using to track your sleep. Above data tracked on series 4, running watchOS 10.

Same thought. I was in the middle in downloading the OTA until I saw that the IPSW became available on Apple dev portal. Ended up flashing the IPSW onto my devices instead

I still installed the RC OTA, just in case they tweak it the last minute before the final release, but once the public version is out for all will do the IPSWs, for sure.

Yep visual bugs still here. Didn’t even update the default wallpaper in display settings. I except an RC 2. At least this should be stable and longer battery due to no more background indexing or not as much. Anybody notice any difference in features?
Thanks. I was just about to download to my 16P, I’ll wait till next week then.

Nope.

First boot, first scroll to the second Home Screen, had to draw all the icons.

Edit: First few scrollings. Sigh.
Doesn’t it just draw them once and then it’s all good? Or is it every time you switch pages? Not sure how this is a problem? I’m on iOS 18 (still kind of new to it) and I’ve seen it redraw the icons when going from light to dark after a first boot but then it’s done.

Has anyone with the RC been able to enable airpods beta firmware updates? I am on public beta and do not see the option to enable that.

I'm on comfy iOS 18.7 RC but liquid glass seems a bit enticing. On a scale from 1 - 10, how stable is the RC? 10 being the most stable.

Game performance on iOS 26 continues to be horrific. Mario Kart Tour on my 12 Pro used to run flawlessly. Now with iOS 26 if I return to the game after switching from another app or if I get a text or notification, the frame rate drops to like 15 FPS and stays that way for a while. This was not fixed across any of the betas including this RC.

I have a 15 Plus. I'd give it an 8. Still some visual glitches and slow downs. My battery life has definitely taken a hit also. Hopefully that will clear up soon.

Why wait for next week? Doesn’t makes sense in my eyes, the RC is most likely the version everyone gets to download next Monday 🤣
Quite a fair few times apple have revised the build number on release from the RC over the past few years, not by much but it happens quite a lot.
