iOS 26 RC ― Bug Fixes, Changes, and Improvements

Update: I think the button all the way in the left makes the icons tinted and more translucent /glassy. I like the effect.

I think the far left one makes it match the color of your phone, which is pretty neat. Mine makes my icons yellow, I have a yellow 14 Plus

This is odd, all my outgoing calls are failing, I get a pop-up immediately indicating call failed. I’ve reset network settings twice and did a hard reset on my iPhone 13. Not getting any love anyone else have this problem? Not sure what to do next.
Wi-Fi Calling doesn’t work either

That’s what I thought too, mine are a brownish color and I have the “desert” titanium 16 pro

Edit- I have a blue apple silicon case the button next to the phone icon seems to make it match your case. Not sure what it does if not using an apple case

For me, without a case, it breaks all my icons if I change to it and try to adjust the color 😝

Edit: that was really strange, I took the SIM out and re-inserted it and now it works OK thank goodness. Never had that happen on an update before. Anyway all is well again.
Ha ha, now I’m getting 5G at my house! That has never happened before! Bonus time!

The new options in the customise Home Screen icons section just completely break my icons

iOS has tens of millions of lines of code, I’m sure it’s at least a dozen devs 😝

iOS 26 was a major update, as bad as it was 2 months ago I’m honestly pretty impressed with how much it’s improved

Ohhhh.
So maybe the other one is to match the official cases? I think there was a rumor that it would be a feature as when you put an official one you see a MagSafe circle matching the case color on screen.

Yeah I have the blue apple silicon case on and it turns my icons blue

Apparently it breaks icons if you don’t have an apple case. Which is like 90% of iPhones I see. What a horrible oversight if that is the case lol. Wtf Apple

So what’s the one all the way on the left supposed to do? Cause it seems it’s based off the display but then that’s the point of the “photo” icon, to match what it thinks is the best choice for the wallpaper.
 
Why does safari still have microstutters when scrolling 🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️ does Apple even listen to our feedback??

Do you guys think there will be an RC 2 when Monday comes around? I feel like the last few updates have had it redownload again when the official software drops but I’m probably wrong.

These sliders are now showing the glass effect when you simply touch them.

Before, there was only a glass effect when you really slid them to the left or right.

I'm tempted to do the same thing. Download the ipsw and just update to it. Seems very weird that fresh installs don't have graphical bugs but OTA does. Especially when it was a 16GB download on my iPad.

Well seeing as how the desert titanium IRL looks nothing like the color they showed in marketing materials, I’m not surprised they botched this color match also
