I am sure that someone covered this. But no one tap to post to facebook or twitter any longer? I signed into facebook from settings, as well as twitter the way you would in ios 6. And i pull down the notification bar to find nothing like that?

Hopefully this will be added back in future betas, almost 100% sure it will.

Is it just me or are the shadows behind the icons seen in the promotional images on Apple's website vacant from the beta?

No wireless synchronization for IPhone with IOS 7 beta1!

The beta's out, let us know everything new and interesting you find!
Hi, Guys !
As soon as I've installed IOS 7b1 on my IPhone 5 - synchronization with ITunes over the wireless network just stopped working. I've tried everything: restart IPhone, restart ITunes, restart Mountain Lion- nothing made this work.
I think this is one of the bugs in new IOS 7b1.
Does anybody notice this problem ?
Thanks, figaro331:confused::eek::eek:

iPhone 5 user here. I've noticed with iOS 7 b1 that it takes what feels like an eternity to get to the home screen when you hit the home button. I realize it's not literally so, but compared to iOS 6 it's quite delayed from the time you hit the button to when something actually happens.

Also, my voicemail times and dates are overlapping in the voicemail menu. Looks kinda ugly! Heck, the whole voicemail menu is broken for me, and ends up crashing the phone app eventually since everything gets unresponsive after I use it.

I'm definitely looking forward to the iPhone 5S/iPhone 6. I know this is just a BETA, but the UI definitely seems sluggish compared to iOS 6.

Did you submit a bug report?

Well, after chopping a mix from lockscreen and wallpaper select screen + adobe content aware, this is the best I could do...hope it works for ya. I'm on a 4s, so my resolution might be smaller if you are carrying a iphone 5.

And did you submit a bug report? This is beta software, which means it's going to have problems. I don't notice any lag when pressing the home button, nor have I as yet received any voicemails, but I have noted overlapping issues and have submitted bug reports.

Forgive me if somebody has already mentioned, but is anyone else finding it very difficult to quickly get a glance of your upcoming week/appointments in Calendar. The month view now has removed the "event happening" indicator dots on a day. And in the day mode, rather than seeing a list of appointments, you are instead forced to look at a stretched out day having to scroll to see if you may have an appointment. Makes scheduling that much more difficult. I noticed the agenda is there if you tap search, but this list is not so easy to visually contextualise the day in question.

When you are in in a "Group Message" it truncates the last name of the members of the group, showing their first name and only the first letter of their last name.

I seriously can't stand translucent effects in a UI. They serve no purpose whatsoever; they only distract. Sadly (as evidenced in your screen shots) it's freaking everywhere.

I imagine there could also be accessibility problems for people with vision problems. Anyone know if there's a switch in accessibility settings to turn it off?

Beyond that annoyance, I think I'm going to love this update. Control Center alone is worth the upgrade for. Can't tell you how often I'm in and out of settings just to flip wifi and Do Not Disturb.

You cannot turn the translucent part off, as of right now.

You can "Reduce" motion via a toggle in Accessibility options. It basically appears to turn off the Parralax effect.

Only thing i see is the notification center widgets. They are all gone. Esp for me is facebook and twitter one tap to update your status. It was so convenient. You would think they could have added it, and had you swipe left etc to bring them up. But it is now gone. The weather widget is now replaced by that worded explanation of the weather. I wish they would at least bring back the tap to update your status again at a future date.

They will be getting a redesign and will re-appear in future builds of iOS 7

Because it looks good.

If you took away everything that "distracted" from a UI, you'd be left with a boring black-and-white design.

You hold the info icon next to the number in the missed call list and select "block this number" or you can do it through contact preference or directly enter a number in settings. I just blocked my home phone. When I called my iPhone, it went straight to voice mail. When I unblocked, the phone rang.

Can you set it so it doesn't go to voicemail and it just get rejected?

----------

On the list of new features...there was "Wifi Hotspot 2.0." Can someone post (screenshots would be amazing) of what is different/enhanced?

It's nothing to with personal hotspot, it refers to wifi roaming (where supported)

----------

Are there any new features for spotlight? I've always wanted to search within apps such as Pages, to find multiple documents related to the same thing. Since the update to Mac OS added tagging, I was wondering if spotlight could handle tagging or at least searching through documents?

I'd also love to know if you can search iWork apps for example.

beware with ios 7

When you slide up to control centre and tap the Torch icon whilst tip-toeing through your parents house at night, you might accidentally hit the play button on some terrible and loud piece of music. CAUTION.

Interesting, I found another bug. My phone stopped asking me for my PW randomly and a restart helped the problem. Anyone else experienced this?

I think the original screenshot from the custom gestures was from an iPhone 5 & someone said its on iOS 6. It is not on my 4S.

Which still begs the question, what else does that feature do on the iPhone ??

The custom gestures came out with iOS 5. It is on the 4S and can be found under Settings>General>Accessibility>AssistiveTouch. You may need to turn on AssistveTouch. The feature itself isn't very useful or amazing.

Not sure if this has been mentioned yet, but this is what it now looks like when you don't have album art for a song: ImageUploadedByTapatalk1370998364.365042.jpg

Just scroll a bit up or just tap status bar once.

And no, you can't delete cache from Instagram or any other app in Usage menu.

That is SO stupid in my opinion. Didn't they allow that in some iOS 6 betas? These apps grow to ridiculous sizes and there's no way to get rid of all that extra space without plugging it in and going through an iPhone file explorer.

I generally love, but, as a designer, does anybody else hate the circular cellular coverage icon? Its so distracting and unnecessary, and, just makes me think 'dumb' everytime it gets my attention...

Lock screen Clock Widget

Not sure if anyone has mentioned this but the digital clock on the lockscreen changes colours depending on the colour of the wallpaper applied. If it is a lighter background it shows up as a black clock and vice verse. Examples attached.

Dark BG w/ light clock.
