Movies

Can you stream over cellular all your iTunes purchased movies/TV shows that now are in the video app? Thanks for your help!

Yes, I know there are animations. I'm wondering if the app is Yahoo's app. If so, could it be that Yahoo worked with Apple on the design?

Fonts are identical, along with images. Yahoo's app doesn't have any animation whatsoever.

Not sure if this has been mentioned. But I was texting two different people about what I was doing tonight and all of a sudden every time I text/imessage the word "tonight" it becomes underlined. It's clickable but doesn't have any function. Could this possibly be a sign of your calendar intelligently learning your plans based on your messages? Anyone else experienced anything similar?

Same for me with the word "tonight". It is underlined but not functional. If it is going to be the same function that Mail has, that could be very helpful. This also happens for ..."on (date)" and ..."noon tomorrow". They underline appears on the outgoing message and incoming. Interesting.

Nice, thanks for posting a screenshot, unfortunately my lock button has stopped working so I couldn't =/. But yes, it seems like a half backed feature that could be very useful depending on how its implemented.

Can anyone tell me...

What happens if someone on your "blocked calls" list calls you? I'm curious to see what would happen on their end. Disconnected? Go to voicemail? Etc.

Anyone have a second phone to test this? Thanks.

EDIT: found the answer (below)

You hold the info icon next to the number in the missed call list and select "block this number" or you can do it through contact preference or directly enter a number in settings. I just blocked my home phone. When I called my iPhone, it went straight to voice mail. When I unblocked, the phone rang.

It has a tumblr feature in Safari, you can endlessly scroll links posted by friends from your social networks

springboard just resprung but did so with the old glossy apple logo, anyone else experienced this?

I cannot get iMessage to work. It activated no problem, but I cannot send messages. It just fails every time.

EDIT: Got it to work now. I deactivated it, restarted the phone, then activated it.

Previously, apps were limited to 15 minutes of "background processing" time. So apps that would run in the background had to complete whatever they were doing in 15 minutes. If the user didn't re-open the app, it didn't get any more background time until the next time it was opened. So if an update came in 16 minutes after you closed the app, it would have to download that data when you launched it the next time.

Now, developers have the option of setting their app to receive "background time" periodically, depending on when you use the app the most. They also have the ability to activate an app's background processes through the push service.

What does this all mean to the end user? Basically, properly designed apps will never seem to close. Even if you close the app, as soon as you re-open it, everything should be up to date and waiting for you. All of this will be done without affecting battery life.

Thanks!

Are you sure about the last part though? Seems like it would.

If your screen name happens to be MEJHarrison, go ahead and skip past to the next post in this thread.

If you're still reading, I couldn't find anyone that mentioned this, but the "live" wallpapers react to movement. If you tilt your phone from side to side, the dots act like they're falling, moving off screen.

I can't demonstrate this as I don't have video capture ability...

You must have an iPhone 4 I have that same solid dock as well. Wonder if there is an option to have the dock be translucent like on the 4s and 5. Can't imagine that would take up that much memory...

The little bubble that appears in the Message app to show that someone is typing a reply is now animated. I'm pretty sure it was static in iOS 6.

Can anyone post a screenshot of the music controls in the lock screen when you double-tap the home button?

Please help

Would anyone be able to check and see it you can access the apn settings to input your own? If not can someone see if the old sim swap trick for iOS 6 still works to input your own apn. I use straight talk AT&T so I'm curious.

Yeah. If you go into the iCloud settings and scroll all the way down to "delete account" that is also still the old glossy bar.

Oh - and installing apps, the blue progress bar is glossed still as well.
