Thanks, I was thinking it was just a misplaced star in the galaxy wallpaper. I this one is a no go vs ios6.

I'm not sure if this has been mentioned (sorry, but I can't read through 20 pages just to find one comment), but instead of the *new* badge when apps haven't been launched, there's a little dot next to their name. See image:

One word: the new iOS 7 UI is simply atrocious, especially the new Safari icon, OMG it's awful.

I find it interesting how so many people have the same design sensibilities. When I first saw the icon for Safari, I intantly hated it more than the others as well. Someone on Reddit redesigned it, which I much prefer to what Apple chose to use:

It may have already been stated, but has anyone else noticed that the "bounce back" when you reach the bottom of a page in Safari reveals whatever background you have at the time. Small detail, but nice touch nonetheless.

That's actually great.

That doesn't look too bad.

The near universal disgust with the icons is really a head scratcher. Apple is supposedly full of some of the best design talent in the world and they couldn't see this reaction coming?

Why are people so obsessed with app icons? And if they bother you that much report it to Apple.

If you watch the WWDC sessions on UI design the first thing they always mention is app icon design.

Well if enough people complain to Apple perhaps they'll redesign some of them. I'm not crazy about some of the icons but it has nothing to do with the functionality of my device so I don't get worked up about it. For as much as people say it's about functionality, not design, they sure do spend a lot of time complaining about design.

Thank you. I've been looking for these.

I'm assuming the "rolling drum" for timers and that red "cancelled" ink stamp on emails and messages are certainly gone as well. If anybody's really bored and willing to post those, I'd be much obliged :)

Can't get enough of these screenshots.

Maybe alreasy posted:
Shuffle play in music is lot more easier:
Go to Titles, first entry is shuffle, w/o pulling down the list :)

Here's a screenshot if the timer. Not sure what the "cancelled" ink stamp is though.

Also, when you delete a passbook card, it doesn't shred it anymore. The top and bottom of the card come together until it disappears.

Hey!!! The voice recording app is missing!!!

Like you, I very much care about this app. As a musician I use it CONSTANTLY to record ideas. I know there are other apps that perform the same function, and even to a more customizable extent, but I've always been very comfortable with the first party app (I also have thousands of memos saved to the app already). That being said, I did some snooping around and found this:

Since it's listed under the areas of which Spotlight can search, I'm assuming they will add the Voice Memo app back in a future beta.

I really like the overall functionality and UI of iOS 7.

But they did a bad job with the icons, like really? Even I can do a better job at designing Flat UI icons. What were they thinking?

The icons that i cannot stand are:

-Photos
-Camera
-Reminders
-Stocks
-Newsstand
-Settings
-Safari

Also, did anyone else feel like the back arrow button in the UI was too big compared to the text?

These icons look like they were done years ago. Nothing modern about it. It's very much possible to make a modern looking minimal flat UI.

I beg every single developer to complain to Apple about the icons! Please share this with any developers you know who feel the same!

Also, are the wallpapers live? Like the Nexus ones? And what features will the iPhone 4S not receive?

I beg the opposite. Most of the icons are great.

Design is about look and functionality. I love most of the new icons.

Great find Greenorblue! As a journalism student, I used voice memos a lot. Hopefully this means it will be back in a future build.
