Mine has been super solid. Beta 3 was a DISASTER for me. Beta 4 (including battery life so far) has been perfect.

The super annoying "double call" when you have an incoming call you can't answer that shows up as 2 calls has not happened with over 20 calls (was happening every 4 or 5 on B3)

I personally think the arrow for the "slide to unlock" needs to be removed. It feels so damn out of place! We have all owned iPhones long enough to know to slide it

Apparently not. When it wasn't there people were getting all confused and **** about where to swipe. It was a HUGE problem apparently. Now they added a clever little arrow and people are still not happy.

I think it should be on the other side of the text

I can see why its thee. I've been using some form of touch screen phone for almost 6 years and its always been left to right. When I put iOS 7 on my phone I did find myself swiping up to try and unlock at least a few times a day.

Changing the control center arrow to a bar would probably be enough to fix this bad habit though. Either way...its not make or break for me.

I did the field test mode and I have -104, yet still have 5 dots of service reported. Something seems wrong here... Especially since my data barely works.

ATT iPhone 5.

We have, but Apple might want to sell to people who haven't.

It would actually look better (more balanced) if they added an arrow to the right of the text:

Oh I actually like what you did there. They need to make it more balanced for sure.

I understand for new users but how could users here who have the capability to install the beta in the first place not know...

Read all the threads about it and you'll understand. There are people who say they've been using iOS devices for years and they were swiping every which was but loose to unlock. True story.

Spotify is back!

Spotify just updated their app and it doesn't crash with volume changes anymore!

Yay!

Tunigo was ok but a bit counter intuitive launching Tunigo to use Spotify!

That's crazy... I personally didn't install the beta until 4 because 1-3 didn't sound too appealing. I can say I've used iOS since the 2G with a little break before the 5 with my S3 and I assumed that "swipe" would become second nature to most... It's so simple! I can say with 90% certainty that I could probably set the phone up with my eyes closed haha

Wouldnt work with german. The sentence is too long to fit two arrows in german.

Im more irritated by the bar on top, its nearly overlapping with the wifi signal bar

Edit: it actually is when on 3G

You'd be surprised. I've had an iPhone for two years, and an iPod Touch before that. I've probably unlocked them 2.5 billion times. And yet, several times when I glanced at the lock screen, that little up-arrow played tricks with my subconscious mind and I tried to flick it up to unlock.

More commonly, I've tried to swipe the wrong direction. I think that's because we're no longer moving a slider, we're dismissing a whole screen. It's very much like going from one home screen to the next, and the way we do that is we swipe right-to-left. It seems natural to do that on the lock screen, too.

That's why I wish they'd enable unlocking by swiping in either direction.

EDIT: I just submitted my recommendation to Apple as a UI/Usability bug. Maybe they'll act on it.

I just noticed that. Thank god. My OCD was going mad with the little 1 above App Store because I couldn't update.

I must admit...I love the auto update but....if I see an app that needs updating I have to do it then and there...I still check most days to see if anything needs updating...sad but it became a daily routine!

Using the iPad with beta 4 has raised a few things for me.

Cloud tabs was enabled only after turning off Safari sync and turning it back on.

On iPad if you hold the Plus sign in the menubar, a list of recently closed tabs pops up. That doesn't seem to work on iPhone.

iPad, I can't find a way to see the Coverflow style view of all tabs open, also scroll to move to full screen hasn't yet been implemented.

I turned auto-updates off as i like to do it myself, and I check for updates a few times a day. I'm quite anal like that!

I think for me it was more that I had used the S3 for a few months so I got used to not having it tell me where to slide. I personally prefer a more minimal theme. All I would like to see are the two lines (top and bottom) and the time.
