What's the point of that batteries widget? I mean, you can have the battery % right there in the corner all the time...

It's definitely not necessary, but it seems to be kinda nice. It's definitely built for people that have the Watch and iPhone so you can see both battery percentages.

Looks like when I go to upload a file to a website (tested with imgur) instead of an image picker, we get the iCloud document picker. Also (probably already mentioned) we have the same document picker in mail for attachment support

I get a menu with 3 options: Take a photo, photo library, and icloud drive.

Overall, a VERY stable Beta 1. I've been doing betas since iOS 5 and I think this is the most stable so far... the only issue that I'm currently experiencing is horrendous battery life, but that could have been because I was downloading all of my apps again and all that. I'm charging my device now and will spend a day or two to confirm.

This is what I am wondering! I'm going to keep my eyes peeled on the forums over the next couple of days. If it seems fairly stable, I will probably install. If not, I will wait for the first Public Beta.

Same as any other (from edit at bottom of Notification Center) but it is missing from a bunch of iPhones including my iPhone 6 Plus.

okay i thought so, i didn't have it there either but i noticed it on the home page of macrumors

Bug: Search allows one to search in inactive mail (previously on, but turned off in Mail settings)

Does anyone know how to display the battery percentage of the iOS devices and apple watch in the Notification Center?

i'm using iPhone 6.

It shows the battery life on the iPhone and the Apple Watch. Not much point unless you have both.

Also, I can't see it at all in Notification Centre - despite having both the iPhone (6 Plus) and Apple Watch (on iOS 9 and watchOS 2). Doesn't show up in the list of available widgets. :(

I think I found it...

doing my first battery test, usually my battery is fine on all ios versions inc betas but ios 9 beta 1's battery is a tragedy so far, 34min usage, 1hr 15min standby, 92% left. anyone elses near as bad?

is there any way to stop the keyboard from displaying lower case letters? I really don't like that - it looks weird

59 minutes of usage, 77%

Its initially going to be bad while Spotlight is indexing. Slap it on the charger for a bit and let it sit at 100% for a while. Eventually it cools down and battery life is better.

In set up, if you choose to verify your iCloud account via text message the setup app automatically fills the information in and moves to the next screen.

Panoramic photos are marked with a panorama symbol when viewed in regular albums.

Not sure if this has been posted but you can now see the actual amount of time for on screen and background battery usage.

Apparently regarding the 6 digit passcode, Ars Technica reports its only available for iPhone 5S,6/6+, Air 2 and Mini 3

http://arstechnica.com/apple/2015/0...passcodes-on-newer-iphones-ipads-under-ios-9/

Do take this as a grain of salt though if it's true.
When I updated my old 5th gen iPod touch, it gave me the option to set up a passcode, and there was a "passcode options" button. There were options for a complex passcode, 4 digit passcode, 6 digit passcode, and no passcode. So I guess you can add it to the supported list.

Apple is doing very tremendous job on releasing ultra stable iOS beta firmware, rather than official firmware. ;)
IOS 8.4 beta 3 is really stable. You can consider installing one as long as you can get the firmware. Oh, I mean, beta 1 of iOS 9.

I got it by turning on my Location Services. Not sure if it would've appeared without that though
