So it is possible to directly upgrade from 8.4 beta 3 to 9.0 beta 1. I was searching high and low for this answer. Maybe can do a full wipe?

You can using iTunes... No promises on how well it will work though. It has worked fine for me. My phone is registered but I just thought I would give it a try before restoring.... As it's kind of a pain in the butt to reregister everything on Apple Pay :/ but it's worth a try... Just back up your device first and if it doesn't work do a dmu mode restore.

On an iPhone 6, the weather app no longer drops frames when switching to and from the view where you can see all of your cities at once.

You can drag two fingers anywhere on the screen to move the cursor, not just on the keyboard. This is on an iPhone, not sure about iPad.

Yeah mine does now. Phone's got a bug where instead of showing carrier top left it just says iPhone (on wifi it shows the wifi symbol next to it, but on data it shows nothing but can still use data) and will no longer receives SMS's. Looks like it is back to 8.3 for me then back up to 9, see if it'll fix it cause I reckon I know what stuffed it up. Will let you guys know what happens.
Siri also doesn't work for me.

Before you go back to 8.3, I found a fix that worked for me. Switch off Wi-Fi and turn on your data, never mind that it doesn't show. With your data turned on, do a hard reset. After the long boot-up, the carrier should appear :)

Ah crap. Already restoring now. I'll know for next time ;)
Always a good one to restore and start clear again. SMS's is a issue for me I need to fix up.

A full wipe could help you grab a better result for now.
I don't do that because my phone is the only device and I have dozens of data on it. So I update it, from one beta to another beta, ha ha. :(
Now the battery consumption is crazy. I am about to update it again to see if I can get a better result.

It started showing up for me after half an hour or so. I didn't do anything. I imagine that it had to finish indexing first.
And that indexing operation drains dozens of power of my phone.
I need to go back to recharge or my phone will die outside, without power backup. :(

Oh good!! This could be the reason for the slowness. Hopefully anyway :p
And I think this could explain why my device becomes slower and slower, especially on iPad!
However I cannot restore, or I will need to buy developer account!
What a hell..............:(

Installed ios9 beta on iphone 4s. Carrier and signal bar are not showing. 3G icon also. Does anyone experience this kind of issue? Carrier is Globe Telecom (Philippines)

Siri does work for me, but she is not familiar with my voice. ;)

Someone else reported they were seeing 'iPhone' instead of the signal bar and carrier name..

Also how is iOS 9 on your 4S performance wise?

Can anyone test if music still stutters in the background while doing something in the foreground on an iPhone 6 Plus?

Still stutters. When typing something on an webpage, stutters may occur. However this happens occasionally. So you don't really need to worry much about it.

Is it just me or is proactive Siri not enabled at all? I am trying to swipe left and not getting the familiar search page. This is on iPod Touch 5g.

Also, iTunes is displaying iOS 8.3 even after upgrading to iOS 9.0..weird :/

ironically, when I unlock iPad mini, the animation runs smoothly. However when I unlock iPhone 6 plus, it looks extremely laggy. What the heck?

Is it possible to turn the proactive assistant off completely ? And do you know if Apple opened the quickreply API to developers ?

I'm always surprised by the number of people who install beta software and then do nothing but complain that it isn't working properly. There's a reason betas aren't released to everyone. They're early, incomplete versions.

Battery drain and lag is always going to occur in the earlier beta builds. Having said that, the lag only lasted a few hours for me, the UI is smooth and snappy on my iPhone 6 Plus, downloading from the app store works fine too, I don't seem to be affected by most of the bugs reported here.

Battery drain is more than usual, though not enough to make me need to revert back.

"Character Preview" in keyboard settings turns on/off the letters popping out of the keyboard when you press them.
