On an iPhone 6, the weather app no longer drops frames when switching to and from the view where you can see all of your cities at once.

You can drag two fingers anywhere on the screen to move the cursor, not just on the keyboard. This is on an iPhone, not sure about iPad.
On the iPhone 5s as well. This is a good sign of speed/performance improvements.

Haha yes it does reset that.
I upgraded from my Jailbroken iOS 8.0.1 to iOS 8.3 and then to iOS 9 beta 1
In the whole process my icons had rearranged at some point which I did not notice..
No -- a "Reset All Settings" does not move any of your icons.

When in a app and you get a notification for another app, it now places the app name and a arrow at the top left.

Thank you.
Now settings have been restored. Waiting to see if there is something changed. Especially, battery life.
Not saying it's a bad idea to Reset Settings but it's not going to help battery especially since Settings adjustments that you've made to help battery (like unselecting Search options) will be reset.

This maybe a stupid question and I think the answer maybe a no but I'll ask in anyway.

With iOS have Apple allowed developers to enable quick reply on 3rd party apps?
Since it doesn't work already and won't work until apps have been updated for iOS 9 when it releases I know it won't show up, so maybe this is a question aimed at developers only.

What's your question? Is Apple allowing 3rd Party apps to use quick reply, like we've enjoyed with Messages? Yes they have.

Well, uh, resetting settings may erase those attempts to maximise battery life, but this also lets you use new functions with less error. OK. This is just only my guess.
You know, before resetting iPhone settings, I can barely use any continuity feature. But after that, I can at least use half of them! This is amazing!

Horrible battery life. This is with disabled search. iPhone 6 Plus. iPad Air 2 currently at 55%, 4 hours usage, 8 standby. Both get warm when using even lightly. I'm going back to iOS 8 for now. iOS 9 is surprisingly stable but it gets really warm and battery is just too bad for me to use. Maybe beta 2 in 2 weeks will be better.

With group messages...
Does anyone else receive their texts in a lump some at one time rather than when the person actually sends the text?

I do. Quite annoying. 3-4 pop up at one time in the message after receiving only one notification form one person.

One problem I'm getting quite frequently on my 6+ is that when I'm in a Messages convo & I reply, it sends properly but doesn't show up on my screen unless I back out of the convo to the main Messages screen and then go back into that thread.

One thing I have noticed as I am using iOS 9 beta 1 is this.

It has been a long time and people have requested quick reply features and stuff. Apple has nailed it, in my opinion. I am say, writing a mail, and a Whatsapp message comes in, and I am taken DIRECTLY into Whatsapp, and I can chat for as long as I want, and then just hit "Back to Mail" and I can resume composing mail.

Such an involved and 'native' way to interact is so amazing and I have felt this is Apple's way of implementing quick replies and taking it to another level with making this possible for a lot of other stuff. I am fuelling up and making an entry in Road Trip MPG and a message comes, now I can straight away "go" to messages and type up and then just get back to what I was doing, so natively, and in such a way that feels so connected.

Wonderful feeling using this beta 1. It is very stable for me on 5s A1530 64GB, and I can't wait for future beta iterations to further perfect this feature. I have not really found a comment on MR about this and used to see a lot of times people remarking about lack of quick replies.. I think, this is it - Apple's way to implement quick replies and make it transcend into everything and every app, not just for messaging. Gotta love Apple for this.

That's how BlackBerry did this with the Hub. It's the one feature I greatly missed when I switched back to iPhone. You could just go from notification to notification and respond to messages directly, without destroying the flow by switching between apps all the time. I agree, it's a fantastic change. You can also now ungroup your notifications and show them in one list, sorted by date, pretty much how it looks on your lock screen. These wee things are what make me a happy user, not so much the big changes they show. These will change how I am going to use my phone on a daily basis and with the battery and speed improvements, I think we will have a great foundation for the next years to come.

Me too, on my 5C. For me it doesn't always happen, and it occurs for both sending and receiving.
I'm having issues with the UP app (purple) and syncing with the UP 2. It crashes every time it connects to the band on both my iPad Air 2 and iPhone 5S.
Yeah, I've got the same problem with the other UP app (blue) with my UP24. The app itself works fine, just when it tries to sync it crashes — could it be an issue with Bluetooth?

Thanks for the update. Might hold off on installing if the battery is THAT bad

True. This is the single game-changer feature of iOS 9. ONE STANDOUT feature. I realised I have not hit home button twice so far in two days to switch apps since I am using this new version OS! And it is so easy on the mind to instinctively tap when a notification comes, reply, and you know you can get back to where you were... no more getting lazy to hit home twice.. That is the single reason I would want this OS, even if battery gets sucked (god forbid) and we gotta wait till 9.1/9.2.. :D
