I had heard somewhere that SIRI could now recognize your voice, is that true? A friend of mine said Hey Siri while i had my phone open yesterday and it responded to him but not me. Was it just a rumor?
I believe when you are setting up Siri/Hey Siri it asks you to say some things a few times to learn your voice or at least your speech patterns.

It is supposed to be able to do that.
Haven't heard of much success. Then again, I don't follow that topic.

9.1 still did not fix the bug where the volume slider disappears when Ipad Air wakes up by the smart cover.

Fingers crossed the awful eons long WiFi downloads / lack of connection were fixed with 9.1. I installed this today on iPad Mini 4 (take 2) and then Reset Network Settings when I saw the usual thousands of minutes download times at work. Once the network was reset, this cut the download time for a 3-4GB movie from the thousands of minutes to hundreds at work and to the usual 20 minutes or so at home.

I contacted Apple feedback three times over the past few days, and let them I know I returned 3 iDevices because of this. I'll test again tomorrow.

Considering I haven't rooted mine (haven't needed to) but when I reviewed that function it can be done in far less than a day.
So you're saying Android is perfect for you and you haven't had any stutter or frame drops? Congratulations! Might be only one!

No. It works for me on my 6sPlus. It doesn't answer to anybody else but me.

I just ran into a bug with Siri and Timers. I had a timer set (cooking something) and had maybe 3 minutes left but needed to change it to 50 so I said "set a timer for 50 minutes". It said I already had a timer set (true) and had two buttons, one that said Keep and the other Change. I kept selecting Change and it would go back to 3 min and ignore changing it to 50. I tried Keep thinking maybe it was backwards but that just kept the timer going. This was all done with Siri in v9.1

Logical question. And can be asked in case of OS X as well. Nevertheless, no OS is better, which evidently does not mean that Apple should not fix all the known bugs.

No I mean why they don't test the version at self before it's going live.

For years?!?!
Yes. Two examples from the past: Weather Widget in Dashboard moved all over the place not keeping the position after reboot or shutdown, Finder not keeping the set size, randomly opening minimized. Both issues were reported and known by Apple, have not been addressed for years. (You can find numerous threads dealing with both issues even here in MR).

It's true to an extent. I did some testing when this was first introduced.

First you need to set up Hey Siri in the settings using your voice. I recommend trying to use your voice as if you are actually about to ask a question so it's more natural.

When the phone is locked it appears to be the most strict. If you try to manipulate your voice it's very difficult getting Siri to respond.

If the phone is unlocked it's a lot easier. It's also possible for other people to activate it.

That said even when unlocked it doesn't appear to be activated by television/computer as easily. Although it still does on occasion (or at least mine does). That could be because my voice is similar to the tech reviewer I'm watching or something.

This goes both ways for me. Siri not activating to someones 'why so serious joker' impression is a welcome change. However I notice while driving it won't activate for me as easily as it used too. This is a case of you can't have your cake and eat it too.

No. I am saying the issues I found on my Note 5 I was able to address. In my case it was disabling specific OEM and Carrier apps, using an alternative Launcher, and adjusting items in Settings. As a result I have a smooth fast very usable device.
I have been unable to perform similar types of activities on my 6S+; the options are not available. As a result I do not have the smooth fast very usable device I want. Same applies to my iPad Mini 3.

As of taking my iPhone 6s Plus off the charger this morning, the battery settings page doesn't display any app usage data.

Anyone have any idea how to get it back?

Edit:

Of course right after I post, the battery usage shows up:

Why are there so many bugs in iOS? Is it to hard to fix those bugs or what?
Realistically the same question can be asked of most software out there, in particular when it comes to more complex software like an OS.

So is there just one build number for all devices or is there two? (One for 6S/6Splus and one for 6 and under?)

In settings, when I try to open TouchID settings the passcode menu has a hang and stutter before coming up

When replying to a message from the lock screen with reduce transparency on the letter pop up is transparent too

Just encountered the same bug. Set a timer for 10min, then change it to 15min. Following the same steps you described. The first time I tapped change, it said 'okay, I see you shiver with anticipation' or something like that, but didn't actually change the timer. The second request seemed to work.

Can anyone tell me how to get dictation working for the notes app over cellular data? Mine is grayed out as soon as I toggle off wifi. Worked fine on 8.4.1.

Does iOS 9.1 support shortcuts like showing up Favorites to call when you 3D touch the phone icon on the home screen or when you 3d touch the messaging app? I remember my 6s+ had it when I first got the phone and this feature seems to have been lost somewhere between then and 9.0.2 :(
