I understand that it's valid to make a statement on if there is an improvement or not on the lag front but the endless discussion is so tiresome.

It would be much easier if these release posts just had a poll attached to them so you could vote if lag is improved, worsened, or stayed the same. No need to discuss it unless there is a serious new lag issue affecting mainstream usability!

We are entitled to make any statements as we please, just like I said my piece. Not when its constant bickering on every single post.

An error occurred installing beta update 2 unable to install update / remind me later or retry.

This is on iPad Pro, restarts retrys and any other obvious solutions are a no go, any advice?

Has anyone else been able to install on iPad Pro?

Installed fine on iPhone 6s Plus

@Prabas
when you add new bugs/issues, then please in the first line from bugs/issues. or post in forum and I add for you. because I have create this window for the user, because in old thread, user said me: to many report in the first post.
Dude seriously, no one cares about beta 1 in this thread. Or issues from iOS 1 that still are in iOS 9.2.1. Please leave this thread for 9.2.1 Beta 2 issues ONLY. It would really be more helpful if you would stop adding all that garbage from other threads and leave this one strictly for 9.2.1 Beta 2.

Who have installed iOS 9.2.1 beta 2, please check if those listed bugs are fixed: https://forums.macrumors.com/thread...changes-and-performance-improvements.1945066/

Thank you.
That list in that thread (post 1) is not an accurate representation of 9.2.1 beta. It is a compilation of all sorts of stuff from day 1 of iOS and things some folks think should be done differently than how Apple did it. No need to get bogged down in all that. If there is a specific issue you are having and wondering if iOS 9.2.1 b2 fixes it please ask and hopefully someone can confirm.

Will update when I get home. My 6+ has been quite smooth on 9.2 and 9.2.1 beta. No more spotlight lag and CC seems to be noticeable smoother too.

This will probably be my last post on this forum, as i have moved on. You need to accept the fact this will never change NEVER! Timmy is out to make more products and more money for shareholders, his Apple doesn't care if your phone lags/stutters everywhere that would make him profit in the near future by you upgrading, and you will as will other users in these forums! if you think about it's smart, Apple users are easily manipulated by Apple IMHO that will never change, for one that leaves 10 will join. Your only hope is something comes out of the class action lawsuit https://www.macrumors.com/2015/12/29/ios9-iphone-4s-lawsuit/

Even if that is not money hopefully the option to downgrade the 4S and other models to an ios of their liking.

Good bye!

I think, although you can't tell from this forum, most people do not see the lags/stutters that you and others see. I have about 10 or so friends running IOS9 and none of them have any of those issues. I think IOS9 is the fastest smoothest IOS version that I have run on my iPhones. Law suites will not change software and only make money for lawyers but doing that is the American way. So goodbye and enjoy whatever phone you end up using.

So I take it you are one of those poor souls still on a iPhone 4s? If so I feel your pain. On other hand "my family" is currently running everything from an iPhone 5 to a 5s to a couple of 6 and now also a 6s and a 6s Plus. All are running iOS 9.2 with the exception of my personal 6s Plus which is now running iOS 9.2.1 Beta 2. The whole fleet is running perfectly with nary a complaint. The difference of course are the dependencies based on hardware, eg 3D touch, etc. For those that continually complain of supposed perceived lag/stutter, why are you still here complaining? Go get yourself a handy dandy Android and you'll never look back! Just check out those forums! Will keep you entertained for years! lol

For an X.X.1 update, it sure introduced a lot of bugs. A huge headache is Siri/Shazam integration, it's very spotty. Performance lag in some areas - even on my 6s. I sincerely hope B2 fixes these issues and they're fixed before this update gets pushed out. I know it's a beta but still, it's a .1 update.

It will connect to 2.4GHz because it always has a stronger signal than 5GHz. Nothing you can do. It has been like that for ages.

It just sounded like it fixed a bug. I've noticed a problem lately with the wifi in my house. My 6s' wifi has been dropping out in areas of my house that it shouldn't. Started happening since updating to 9.2. Might be something else tho

So such bug introductions here. Siri/Shazan continue to work perfectly. 6s Plus here.

Maybe there is a reason for such a thread not being popular. I have no idea who told you that Apple devs read this thread. They might, who knows. But I doubt they see this thread as a to do list.
Indeed if you have a bonafide bug report it directly to Apple. These forums are for general consumption of mortal souls.

Have you investigated the possibility that it is related the recent implementation of IPv6 by ISPs in some parts of the US? That has certainly been the case in Tucson AZ.

My supposed 120mbpsfrom XFinity is non-existant. No idea what it is. But its been night and day across all devices. Im in UT. WiFi on 5GHZ is just an absolute horrible experience on all of my iOS devices. The Macbook is fine and never drops. Maybe I just need someone to help me configure my home network properly. Plus a son who plays LoL and PS4 and Xbox for hours on end might not help either lol.

Control center stutter fixed yet? On iPhone 6 and below.

I only updated my Air 2 to 9.2.1 B2 and multitasking menu is jumpy.
I have 5S and I just updated to 9.2.1 b2, control center is definitely smoother, but i think still needs a little improvments. Lets wait for final release

There's no reason why Apple would ever read this thread. They sometimes don't even respond to bugs reported in their official channel and this type of thread's quality has gone downhill for years on MacRumors, so...

Just installed. 6+ already seems smoother. I'm hoping I get my original battery life that beta 1 kind of took away from me.

Can any iPad pro owners check if reduce white point setting in accessibility/contrast setting makes a difference to the display?
I think a bug in 9.2 is preventing any change.

no. 80% in this list is from iOS 9 bugs/issues. the other iOS 4-8.

I add from user post the bugs/issues. In the next beta transfer this list to new wiki. with happiness comes in this time more report, then I add in this window.

again the mostly details is from iOS 9.

Not forget I add since last wiki thread a window for this category. for more order.

I can not see that problem. User said me: Apple iOS developer are in this forum. Then can Apple see this list, many bugs/issues.

Again I open new thread? Nooo. This is not good for the user, because then the thread is not popular.

no this is wrong. 1 bug is from ios 4. 15% iOS 5-8. 80% from iOS 9.

e.g Apple fixed a bug, later in ios 9.3.

Then I or other user remove from this list and add to bug fixes.

Again the user here are so good, many report to apple bug report site. But Apple not fixed.

Therefore public now.

For you, I add in first post better details. The user know now, this bugs/issues list is not since current iOS beta.

Better now?

Again THIS thread is not about iOS 9 bugs either, or iOS 9.1 or iOS 9.2.1 beta 1 or iOS 8 or iOS 4. Its ONLY FOR iOS 9.2.1 BETA 2. That is all that should be here. What "user" are you claiming to help? No one here is being helped by adding all that nonsense. The 1st post was fine until you added that useless window. Sorry you are not understanding that. Not sure how to make it any clearer. Again make your own thread called "All Outstanding iOS issues" and put whatever you want in there. Anyone who wants to see that will go there and participate in that thread/discussion.

Has you not see the old thread? Ok see again, I reset without window. many user said me, so is not good. therefore window. see post 1 again, is so good?

See again. The user post the bugs/issues in this thread. See ios 9.0 beta thread, see ios 9.1 beta thread, see iOS 9.2 beta thread.

Then I or other user add in the first post. It is a summary.

Which discussion is here? Mostly new bugs/issues/lag discussion.

That's not better. Nearly all of what you post is irrelevant to this topic and it makes it very difficult to determine what's actually pertinent to 9.2.1 Beta 2.
Also, the problem with the iPad Mini 3 switch rapidly toggling from volume to silent is a hardware problem with the iPad, not a bug in iOS. I just had my iPad replaced for this problem.

No its not better. The window isnt the entire problem. its the content you keep adding that has nothing to do specifically with iOS 9.2.1 b2. For example the below you added as a bug for iOS 9.2.1 beta2 . It is not a bug that 9.2.1 caused. Its probably not even a bug but a design choice Apple implemented. Most everything else you have there is not related to 9.2.1 either and a lot of other items are suggestions how you think Apple should do it better or differently. Anyway myself and others here cannot seem to get this point across so perhaps the mods will step in and make this thread as it should be. No need in further discussing it here as this also takes away from the thread topic.
  • Apple ID create in App-Store without credit card not possible (For new user or user have not credit card is that a problem) This issue worldwide in all App-Store (Open App-Store, go to Featured, tap on Sign In and create Apple ID account now) !Without credit card not possible!
