Most people by have now accepted that lag and stutter are part of the "New Apple" experience. One can only complain "this much" and move on to better things in life.

Everyone has kinda given up on it as a thing which has the lowest fixing priority at Apple. Different management, different priorities.

It also means that their faith on Apple in "post Steve Jobs era" has greatly diminished.

Oh please. Give me a break. Apple was not perfect under Steve Jobs and never released perfect software ever. It's impossible for any software company to release perfect software. You are just remembering things as if everything was all nice and dandy when Steve Jobs was alive but believe me, the issues were always there.

I'm sceptical about the alleged increase in fluidness. Most often it's the placebo effect at work.
Its a X.1 branch of the 9.2 release which implies very minor fixes.Unlikely for any of those horrible stutters to be fixed which would require 9.3

Not really. They're always making optimizations regardless of the OS version.

What is this Control Centre lag that everyone keeps mentioning?
I don't notice it on the 6s+.
Is it only on older phones?
I only use mine to toggle wifi and BT and occasionally calculator.

supposedly 'everyone' has it (even though we don't). Don't worry about it. Not everyone's phone has issues

It is present on all devices except 6S, 6S+ and iPad Air 2.

...and some people actually have zero lag and are very happy with the experience.
Some people also believe Scientology is a believable religion. Go figure.

If anyone wants to play the "majority" card, lets remember that there was a time on this planet, where the majority "knew" the Earth was flat and the Sun revolves around it.

Well after numerous bug reports and no fixes, i hope they have finally fixed this issue. When you dont have 'shortcuts' enabled on the keypad, the google search and other login webpages do not scroll up and so you get a obscured box and manually have to move page up to use it.

I typically jump on the Beta bandwagon but 9.2 has been extremely good to my 6S Plus so I think I'll stick with it till the number of "Issues" reported above have been ironed out.

And then the majority of people just want to enjoy their phones and live their lives, not something as petty as analyzing dropped frame rates in X-code stressing about those 2 dropped frames. Macrumors is not by any stretch the majority of iOS users, but the vast vast vast vast minority

It works both ways.

Use you content blocker? No? Then reset the safari settings complete.

That's because newer devices aren't affected

man there's some massive OCD here. I'm sorry your experience with iOS is so very terrible. I hope you find Android more enjoyable when your contract is up.
No OCD at all.It just factually supports my experience with iOS 9.iOS 8.4.1 was perfect for me

Here's a bug that was fixed in 9.2.1:

If you ask Siri "What song is this?", one of two things should happen:
1) If music is playing from the built-in Music (f/k/a "iPod") app, she should give you the song information
2) Otherwise, she should start her version of Shazam to listen to the song, and try to determine its title, etc.

If you are in Bluetooth mode, then in case 2), you get an error that Siri can't Shazam songs in Bluetooth mode.

Yesterday, in 9.2, I was listening to music in my car via Bluetooth from the built-in Music app. I asked Siri "What song is this?" and she wrongly told me that she can't listen to songs in Bluetooth mode.

Today, in the 9.2.1 beta, she correctly told me what song I was playing in the Music app.
