Don't know why I thought reduce motion done something to the App Switcher, it's looks exactly the same to look at it. All it does different is move the apps rather than scroll them ... visually it looks the same, they just don't scroll, they swipe across.

Really? I saw this video here...

And I'm wondering if it's fake or not. I don't have the beta myself.

What it does mate, is rather than when you swipe through apps you don't see them scroll and slow down, they just swipe across left to right. I'll upload a video of my Air 2.

Could anyone please tell me whether the text bug , where even with ' Filter Unknown Sender ' switched on , when receiving a message from an unknown sender it still adds it to your regular known text list.

This bug doesn't happen every time you receive the initial Unknown message , however when you reply , or toggle between the two , it adds it to the regular texts menu.

Very obnoxious bug & considering this has been around pre iOS 9 , I'm amazed this still hasn't been fixed. This is a feature , not an aesthetic bug like Settings missing off the screen , so there's just no excuse.

Cheers

App Switcher has been changed as described here, here's what I'm seeing:

I'm disappointed they did this, the previous app switcher was much much better! WTF Apple?!

Do you have Reduce Motion enabled? Visually, in terms looking at it, nothing has changed. What's changed is that when you swipe with reduce motion enabled the cards no longer scroll, they just swipe left or right.

I don't see a reason to make the switch even with Reduce Motion turned on smh

But visually nothing is changed. From your screenshot you can't tell anything different between any version of iOS 9 and the new beta from today. You can only see the change when it's moving.

Yeah I have it on, I'm not a fan of it and this really slows down the App Switching process now. Not a deal breaker but it's not a new switch that in liking so far.

I really want to see the performance improvements, especially for the app switcher in this new beta, but I run public beta so I have to wait. How are the iPad mini 2/Air 1 doing? They improved a lot with the app switcher in last beta but now that the air 2 is almost perfect I'm curious at how much has improved on older devices.

Was just a day later for last public beta right? I want any improvement I can get, now!!

Remove your beta profile, reboot and check for update. ;)

OK so installed this on my Air 2, and there is a massive improvement with vertical page scrolling! The spotlight search though has gotten worser, it's laggy as hell, and app switcher stutters still remain while scrolling between apps!

App Switcher has zero lag for me on my Air 2. See my video a few posts previous in this thread, ensure its viewed in 60fps. I agree about Spotlight, it's a little choppy at times.

Not seeing it here. Everything is super smooth on my Air 2.

Yeah, Spotlight seems to have a stutter right at the start when you pull down and from then on its smooth. This isn't unique behaviour to iOS 9 though, I remember my iPad 4 and iPad Air 1 doing the exact same stutter on first activation of Spotlight and then it too cleared up on repeated use.
