Is the sometimes uppopping statusbar after unlocking with touch id still present like in beta 3?

Changes I've seen on the iPad Pro (coming from iOS 9.1 to iOS 9.2 b4):

1. Spotlight is now sized properly for Pro
2. There's a Siri button in the search field of Spotlight
3. Apps are opening much quicker in Split View and resume+fade out in full view properly, instead of sliding in partially then fixing itself on iOS 9.1.
4. Typing with the keyboard now auto-corrects. It didn't work on iOS 9.1 with external keyboard.

Does anyone else notice how Spotlight is more smoother when you manually drag it down than when you flick it down?

I have been using beta software since ios 7. I had an iphone 5 back then and ios 7 looked amazing to me. I still love the design. And since ios 7 beta 1 I have been following forums to learn about performance and new features. My exprerience is people constantly complaining about the new software until a newer one is seeded. When ios 7 came out people complained it performed worse, when ios 8 came out people complained and clainmed ios 7 was the best and 8 performed ******. when ios 8.4.1 came out people were still complaining it was really very bad and now everyone seems to recalling it almost ''Perfect'' I'm not saying glitches and bugs doesnt exist but it existed all along. I have been using ios since 2008 and it was never as bad as people complained or as good as people praised for me.

Without a doubt, there is a lot less running in the background with B4 vs. B3. Which should translate to much higher battery life. Background usage is 60% less on my 6s, and 75% less on my Air 2.

Can't wait to see what type of battery life I get throughout the day! Looking promising! Seems much better than 9.0.2 at this point. Yes its early, but I do keep track of this.

Running great here on 6+ and Air 2. Wife's 5s doing fine and her iPad 4 much improved.

App Switcher is definitely faster in this beta, no placebo here for sure !
Spotlight lag is still there, especially if you drag it down rather fast. This remains unchanged. No big deal though.

Still this is the best performing iPad Air 2 software so far, better than the last iOS 8 one. And with the new features I don't see anyone staying on iOS 8 for some reason

So the video had to be slowed down just to see...THAT?

Are we being trolled here...?
No, I slowed it down so that it is obvious to everyone that the 5s (and 6) frame rate is about half of the 5 frame rate when drawing up the Control Center. I slowed it down so that the difference is clear to everyone.

And battery life for me is significantly better since beta 3. Im stoked! I got over 9 hours on my last charge. Haven't gotten that kind of life since an earlier ios 8 on my 6 Plus

If you are worried about things running in the background download a system monitor app and periodically check your cpu usage thoughout the day and make sure it is idling properly. If it's steadily higher than 10% you've got a process that is stuck and endlessly looping and eating your battery.

That's what I thought as well, but the Airdrop dialog popping up is a bit laggy, even on my 6s. That video was likely recorded in 30fps which wouldn't capture this lag.

That said, the whole laggy/stutteriness is blown out of proportion. Heck, even my iPhone 5, which I use as a work phone, is still chugging along. It's slow more than anything, but I don't really care about the small bit of stuttering here and there.

What sucks though it that control centre is smoother on the iPhone 5 and 5c because they don't use Metal. the 5s and up use Metal, which is what is causing the lag. It isn't optimized yet.

My 6s plus continues to randomly reboot. So the "fix" Applecare and the Apple stores keep promising will be coming still isn't here. Wish they'd replace my phone since this is apparently not fixing it.

Honestly I'm about to sell it. This is getting ridiculous.

..and you can tell those percentages after, what, 2 hours. Come on. Don't pluck stats out of the air.

The improvements are not placebo. I just updated to 9.2 beta 4 after only using 9.1 up until now and it's definitely smoother all around the OS. It's not perfect, but you can tell they've been tweaking things.

It's definitely the smoothest my iPhone 6 has been on any version of iOS 9. Not as smooth as iOS 8, but I think I could live with this level of smoothness.
