If you hold the home button for Siri and pull down NC at the same time, Siri gets cut off.

How is this a bug? I would think its working as designed. BTW just for kicks I tried it and you cannot pull down NC while Siri is on. Both locked and unlocked. Looks like folks are really grasping to find something to B**** about. Or falsely posting bugs on the wiki just for grins.

However this did cause me to discover something. Not sure if new or been around forever but while Siri is listening and pops up any text, such as "go ahead I am listening" you can drag that text down and see past requests!

I'm not experiencing any lag, spotlight was laggy the first time but even after 30mins it's smooth, along with control and notification centre.

Works the same or better on my iPhone 6, and the animations on my iPad Air are MUCH smoother.

Zero difference on my mini 2, which really needs to get worked on. PB3 didn't really do anything either. iPhone 6 has been fine, not any different either.

Do those devices include the 6s Plus? Not all the devices run the same and this video shows the lag and frame dropping pretty clearly. Maybe before you make a post like the one treating lag like a rare thing, you should think about more than just your own devices. I'm sorry if "smoking gun" is too much of an exaggeration when this is the most expensive iPhone that can be purchased and Apple has promised 1.6x improvements in performance. It's not excusable at all.
6+ and Air 2. Running fine.

What will a video prove? You'll see something you don't like, that doesn't bother me in the least. I've never said I didn't have minor animation issues, but I also don't spend my time discounting those who say they don't have any lag. Sound familiar?

If my iPhone or iPad works with a minor animation issue here or there and if it doesn't hinder my usage, I'm perfectly fine. I don't have time to spend on the little things in life and to me, this is a little thing. It's insignificant in the grand scheme of running iOS 9 and getting the stable results that make me happy.

In other words, I don't base my entire experience on fluidity issues. I report those issues, like I report every other issue and hope they address them. That's all I can do my man.

Anyone know why Apple has had so many stutter issues with iOS 9? Even on the latest hardware?

I remember that especially prior to iOS 7, there were NEVER such issues in iOS. I have an ancient iPod touch in my car running iOS 5 and it's smooth as BUTTER. I haven't seen that sort of smoothness since iOS 6, it feels like everything iOS 7 and later has had performance problems.

It's as if Apple decided to stop caring about smoothness in the UI.
A theory that could make sense since it's a major change introduced in iOS 9 is that they used Metal API instead of OpenGL (as in iOS8 before) across the system, which renders the UI.

I think this is related to a bug I reported as well, with data being used from iCloud when it should not: it is a battery and data leakage. They asked for my iPhone's logs and it was a pretty serious bug since iOS 8.4.1, as I showed them the thread in their forums where everybody was complaining, but no one reported the bug. Many people are affected and they don't notice because the problem is random and difficult to notice, unless the data usage gets too high. The issue also takes place if you reset to a "new phone" because that seems to be handshake issue with the phone and iCloud services.

Well thank you for reporting it! Its so much better. My iPad Air 2 has 19 minutes of usage and 3.5 hours of standby without touching it once. Before it was more like 1.5 hours usage/3.5 hours standby.

The software has made it to the point where you have to really study it closely to

2:52 , 9.2 stutters, this stuttering is occuring all over the system. And yes, it's the same on all 64bit iPhones.
The phone on the right had a little stutter when pulling the control center up. I could see that. My phone does not do that, my previous phone did a little. Thanks for the share.

& that settings view "bug" in task switcher mentioned on the first post is wrong mine is displayed normal, since its probably device specific the affected devices should be mentioned. wiki posts....

6S Plus is a delight. I wish I had more uses for this superb phone. I mean... less work this season. :)

I really don't see why this was over a GB to download. They didn't change anything, and all the stupid old amateur hour bugs are still there...

Battery life is beyond amazing. Like incredible.

I have never seen something like this on a non-plus model. (6s).

And this is immediately after installing. Normally the first 48 hours is horrible.

If they didn't change anything, there wouldn't be an update.

Just because you don't see it and you are experiencing the same bugs on your device that you were before, doesn't mean they didn't change things and fix other bugs that you simply don't come across.

What a great prioritization scheme; let's fix all the non-obvious bugs that pretty much nobody notices except a few edge users.
