It does help. I had flux back when I was jailbreaking and still have it on my Mac.

That said, anyone else noticing blue light reduction spontaneously turning itself off? I'd keep it on all day, myself.
Do you have the schedule set to off? It's right under the night shift slider.

Don't think Apple will offer a dark mode on an IPS LCD device. LCD uses more power displaying black and darker colours. AMOLED uses more power displaying white and lighter colours. But AMOLED still has the edge for power consumption.
Also the blue light reduction is cool feature. I wear glasses with Hoya Blue Control lenses so it cuts out most of the blue anyway. I had to turn it to the coolest setting so it doesn't look piss yellow. Without my glasses it still looks too cool!

Only suggestion for Night Shift would be the ability to have the temperature slider automatically warm over time, just as f.lux does on the Mac. I realize you can set a custom level…but it does not progressively get warmer over time, it simply stays at the default level, or the level you've set. Otherwise, great update. On the first boot or reboot, the usual suspect stutters are present in every spot, until you have performed each action individually. Example: Opening a folder or pulling down spotlight search. Once those tasks have been completed once, they remain fluid until the next reboot. All other areas perform just as the last 9.2 beta IMO. No complaints here, and no bugs yet after day two.

I was thinking the same thing. I hope they add this before it goes public.

Control center is less stutter but still can't match the smooth of 8.4.1 .

Can't believe I haven't seen this mentioned yet! There is a new workout section in the activity app.

Here is that filter button in the corner for you inquisitive minds :)

[doublepost=1452659065][/doublepost]Another noteworthy change in the activity app, the workout button in the top right corner has been removed. It is no longer needed because now days that have a workout have a circle around the number. A good change IMO.

5s user here. Control center has slight stutter, but continues to improve. Notification Center lag has been gone for me since 9.2 so no issues there.

I am certainly seeing an improvement on the homes screen swipe down spotlight search. It's much smoother now. App switcher appears almost flawless as well. The choppy animations from going into and changing apps are just about gone.

Animations for opening and closing apps seem to have improved some as well. This was a big one for me when iOS 9 came out but things are getting better. The buttery smooth animations that appear to almost have weight to them are slowly returning.

Everything appears to be a bit snappier. I'm not blown away, but happy Apple is making progress.

Just came in here to post this as I realized it wasnt in the thread earlier. Really love the design of this and the information is just available literally at a glance... no thought required to process what this all means, real clear cut.

Just command H instead of command shift H
Wow, that makes things so much easier. I hate the current combination of keys.

Actually, this is also present in 9.2, just in a different fashion. Just checked.

Also new in music app:
To add rating to song you must press on the artwork in Now Playing, clicking on the song title will take you directly to that given album.

I have installed this new beta on my 6s+ and Air 2 and I must say I'm really impressed! 3d touch is finally 60 fps and extremely fast and on the iPad the Spotlight search is now also very fluid (before 9.3 it was laggy as hell). In my case, this beta works very well. Sadly the TouchID lag where the statusbar is being displayed after a delay is still present on my iPhone.

Did they pull the beta? Downloaded the profile. Showed 9.3 update. Downloaded and restarted to install. Then it just came back to 9.2.1 with no further updates after i installed and restarted.

How does iCloud PDF syncing actually work? I've enabled the option when I first opened iBooks, but how do you actually upload a PDF to the cloud?

I'd like to know how all this works as well.

Best I could figure out was sending them to iCloud Drive and then use the "copy to iBook" in the share options. Which I'm betting that's always been an option and not new to all this iCloud iBook 9.3 stuff.

If you are talking about in iBooks I believe it's not fully functional right now. When it is, syncing PDFs and other non-iBooks Store purchased books and such will sync without any effort. As for now...beta *shrug*

You can tell Apple have done some serious work on this release. Performance is much improved!

If it downloaded then it has not been pulled. Maybe something went wrong with the installation. Have you tried again?

It is definitely a difference, even on the iPhone 6s (e.g. the animation for AirDrop in Control Center previously lagged, now it doesn't anymore). This is exactly how iOS 9.0 was supposed to be. Strange that it always seems to go that way: the final release of a major version sucks, after a few .x updates it's all buttery smooth. That just shows that Apple does have the people to make their software run incredibly well. It only takes quite some more time. :p

Anyway, I'm all happy with this release. And it's still a beta. Final release might be even better. :)

Fingers crossed subsequent beta releases don't go backward in terms of performance.

I'm a beta-firsttimer and would like to take a look at Classroom. Registered and bought a one year membership yesterday and installed 9.3 on an iPad 4 just now. The only thing is: I can't find anything about Classroom on my iPad.

Do you guys have an idea? Isn't it an app? I can't find anywhere it on the internet...
