I'm a beta-firsttimer and would like to take a look at Classroom. Registered and bought a one year membership yesterday and installed 9.3 on an iPad 4 just now. The only thing is: I can't find anything about Classroom on my iPad.

Do you guys have an idea? Isn't it an app? I can't find anywhere it on the internet...

You literally threw money down the drain, unless you are an actual developer.

Which device are you using? On my 6s+ the 3d touch even in landscape mode was quite smooth on 9.2 and is extremely smooth on 9.3.

In 9.2 and 9.2.1 the frames drops issue was fixed but in 9.3, the problem is back... (6s+)

Well, I think this will be possible as soon as iOS 9.3 (final version) drops. Always the case during a beta. At least, from my experience. Once 9.3 is available, I guess you should go to education.apple.com or something. According to the images on Apple's website that is where you can set it all up. :p

My thoughts exactly, but then I saw this:

After reading this, I would expect those features to be available in the Beta already...

Not everything seems to be enabled in the first build. You may have to wait until beta 2 at the very least. Also at the very bottom of the 9.3 Education Preview page there is a disclaimer. "Features are subject to change. Enrollment may be required for some services."

Good spot indeed. Didn't notice that. Wondering where it can be set up then. Like lagwagon above me says, it might come with a later beta or so. Kinda looking forward to that. Just to see what's possible with the new education functionality. :p

I have a question about the night shift mode. From what I have seen, it makes the colors warmer (sort of yellow) to help the user get a better sleep (or so the they say)
Now if you are working on something that requires a color corrections, how would you do it? IMO, the only usefulness is if you are reading. I have tried Flux on my Mac some while back, did remove it right away. Could not stand a screen looking all yellow.

When you say a while back, how long ago was that? I use f.lux and have adjusted the level of yellow to my preference. Occasionally especially during upgrades, my screen will revert back to its original state and it really can be a shock to the ones eyes!

You are not forced to use Nightshift. You can toggle it on or off at any time. So if you're needing accurate colour just turn it off. If you don't like it "can't stand a screen looking all yellow" then don't turn it on at all. It's an option in Settings > Display & Brightness > Blue Light Reduction toggle.

Over a year ago I think. Was curious to try it because lot of users here were wishing it was on iOS devices. Most of my work on Mac is a photography/Video related so I did not find it useful at all. It was like looking at the world through a filter.

Well to be perfectly accurate, the important thing is to match the lighting to the display. You don't see accurate colors at night with warmer lighting on display that's set to daylight colors. You see blue and compensate for it - you'll probably end up with over saturated, yellow colors in the morning :) that's why professional color grading rooms have no windows, color balanced light fixtures and neutral-grey walls.

Holy cow it feels like the Control Center on 5S has been fixed partially.

@Radon87000

On 5S 9.3 Beta 1, slide up Control Center without releasing the finger. It will stutter when it goes beyond 50% of screen. Slide it up and down to verify the stuttering.

Now slide it all the way up and release the finger. Once it is all the way up, try grabbing the top edge and move it up and down. This time it is 60 FPS smooth.

But now freaking Notification center is stuttery.

I don't do betas but I hope this signals what Apple will be doing in the future. Sure save something major for WWDC but I like that we get significant point updates and don't have to wait a whole year for new features or performance improvements.

I literally just discovered this bug, I am on iOS 9.2 and I am unsure if this will be present on 9.2.1 or 9.3, mind if you guys check?

So I type in on the Safari search bar "uoft" and then a "." immediately after, it crashes Safari indefinitely. Every time without fail, I have replicated it. Is it present on 9.3, 9.2.1 or anyone else's 9.2?

I have an iPhone 6. I can avoid this by spacing, putting the period, then going back to remove the space. However, that's kind of annoying. 10/10 times I've done this, it crashed my Safari on iOS 9.2

Not been able to try that on iOS 9.2, but it doesn't happen on my iPhone 6s with iOS 9.3 beta 1. Hope this helps.
