it kinda works..

Search an artist and hit start radio station..or add a song to your 'my music' and it'll be available on all devices

I don't mind the waiting to beta 3, I get it, development takes time and isn't an overnight process. What i'm irritated about though is that we have to sit here on the forums playing the guessing game for those of us who want to sign up for Apple Music. Just tell us if it's gonna come out today or not so we know if we should download 8.4 (or wait for next seed if we're patient.)

I wish Cue would have tweeted "a new iOS 9 seed will support Apple Music, eta 1 week" or something where we at least have a ball park figure instead of being in the dark.

Yes, because that part just uses your iTunes Match/Cloud Library. So iOS9 would have already had it. It's just that the actual Apple Music UI elements are seemingly missing from iOS9.

I presume it's because iOS 9 should not be used on your main device and should be used to tests apps etc. Most developers will have multiple devices with the most up to date iOS on them. That's probably Apple's thinking. It's certainly mine.

It seems selfish though as not all developers have multiple devices. It's almost like Apple is trying to make a point to people who are non-devs who download the iOS betas - but my argument is there are going to be bone fide developers who don't have more than one device, and they are missing out.

I would contend that most developers don't have separate test devices. That is an awful lot of money outlay for developers that are making hobby/free apps, especially when it already costs money just to put apps on the store.

Apple always recommends to not put a beta on your daily driver. Your dev device usually shouldn't be your personal device. It can be, but you assume the risk when you do.

Not so much a point as an intentional side effect. :p

I don't think Apple is making a point. They don't do that. Beta 3 will probably be released next week with the usual bug fixes and Apple Music. I'd rather wait and have that, then a beta update that just adds Apple Music.

Its pretty simple. You don't want to wait for the next beta, then roll back to 8.4. Developer beta, are for testing, period. You can't have your cake and eat it too.

I don't care - I have a test iPhone running iOS 9. I have Apple Music on my main iPhone.

Just saying many many other developers don't have that luxury - and that's not fair. It's like saying "don't bother testing your apps or developing them for iOS 9 until it's hit GM because you don't have a spare phone."

Why say that? The point of the developer betas/previews is to test your apps and the new APIs. That is the entire point. This is a music streaming service we are talking about. Their iDevices will still function etc.

Why should they be left out of a global launch of a major new service? As a massive "thank you" for developing for the platform, right? Umm.

"You keep paying us $99/yr to develop apps for our platform, and for all of that you can wait a week for the much-hyped Apple Music launch - unless you've bought two iPhones from us!"

Anyway can see you won't budge on your standpoint, so agree to disagree mmk?

I can live without Apple music for a bit. Of course I'll try the trial but doubtful I'll buy in but who knows. I'll update my older iPad today and try it out

I get what you are saying, I just believe that the point of the developer preview is to test apps. Releasing a new beta just to add Apple Music is pointless in my opinion. I'd rather wait another week for the scheduled release.

Agree with you that it sucks for the anxious but I have a feeling it's just not on their radar. They're sticking to their two week beta updates since that's the schedule they've set. They were probably so focused on the music release and 8.4 that the beta folks were only at the meetings to stay plugged in.

They've probably been sitting on beta 3 since last week and are already well underway on beta 4. It's probably effectively the same build as beta 2, but with Apple Music included.

I still think it will come today. 8.4 was the priority obviously being a public release and iTunes will be next. Maybe B3 after that maybe...

I agree. It's definitely worth the wait, it's just annoying that there even is a wait due to Eddy's tweet yesterday. But the servers right now.....I can't even imagine.
