So it's 8.17am uk time after resetting all settings and charging my phone over night. I've killed all apps last night. Any apps open today will be left in app changer as I know it affects battery keep closing and opening hem. I will do a real terms test of my battery today and use my phone how I would normally use it. I will post my test results once my battery gets to 20%. Hopefully give an insight to a heavy user.

Getting pretty poor battery performance on beta 5, iPhone 6 Plus. Left the house this morning on about 95%. Roughly an hour later I'm down to 68%!! All I've only been browsing Safari for about 30 minutes, maybe more!

My iPhone 6 battery suffers from the public beta 3 massively.... I stopped chargingt at around 7:00 am and now at 10:30 am it is on 68%. Used Pericsope for about 12 minutes broadcastingt my car drive :p . Bluetooth is on for my Pebble.
Runtastic and Apple's own Music app sucking too much as well.

From time to time my iPhone 6 and my iPad Air freeze for about half a minute. Happens 2-3 times a day.

Pretty happy with DP5 battery on my 6

I just wanted to report that my phone still hasn't run out of battery - Usage time obviously couldn't hold its pace, but standby seems to be good now in DP5

All the time on regular power settings - kinda strange though that the phone doesn't show the usage percentage for each app anymore (was working till yesterday)

So far battery life has gone down for me from PB2, while performance has gotten significantly better! (5s)
If what I guess is right, iOS 9 on your device runs like a bull, kicking out everything you have on your phone to let you experience significant performance boost.:D

Since 3DMark for iOS is back online from this beta, I have tried multiple times and iOS 9 beta 5 has overall higher score than iOS 8.4, with about 200-300 points higher. So, GPU improvement is also obvious.

What do you mean reset all settings? Will that not take a long time to find and put everything back how I want it? Seems like a lot of effort.

Go to settings general scroll to bottom reset all settings.

No it don't take ages and you just reset your settings or ringtones and wallpapers and so on back to how it was.its worked a treat for me and many others. My phone is not getting hot any more and battery is lasting longer than 1 hour without charge. Currently down to 64% after heavy usage from 100% at 8.15am uk time.

Using on iPhone 5...all is pretty good but has anyone had issues with the camera focusing or lighting? I feel that my pics aren't as crisp as they were with iOS 8.4

Can anybody confirm that the "Low Power Mode" is actually working now? I have tried it in b2, b3 and b4 when I hit 20% and so far I think it is pretty useless. I feel that my last 20% is still draining at the same rate. Don't really seem to give me "up to 3 hours" extra standby.

Im using PB3 for iOS 9, and perception wise, the battery life is a lot worse.

1hr 53mins Usage
Standby 7hrs 29 mins

iPhone 5S

Trying the reset settings and will see if that helps

Final shot before I plug my phone into charge. Down to 3% my battery has vastly improved since resetting all settings. No warming up issues no battery drain issues.
Hope this has given people an insight. Yes we all use our phones differently so some will use more battery some less.

Anyone who wants to try go to
Settings general scroll to bottom and reset all settings.

Here's mine from yesterday, not so bad I guess.

Mine is a 64Gb iPhone 6

That is with everything turned on and Bluetooth connected to a Pebble watch and only 2-3 bar 3G cellular service so probably searching for a stronger signal constantly.

I have noticed on Beta 5 it charges a lot quicker even with TomTom app on compared to Beta 4 so I'm guessing Beta 5 is a lot more power efficient.

Something I was thinking about today - does anyone know exactly what 'low power mode' does? The description is a bit vague and I can't see any real difference in operation when I have it activated. I also don't see a significant slowing in battery decline either. I mean, you can tell your battery drops more slowly but it isn't significant.

Was seriously considering pushing my main phone to iOS 9 but with all the battery complaints I'll wait. :)

My iPad Air is running pretty well on it though. I decided to completely wipe the iPad and start fresh; that may have something to do with it.

Updated both my air 2 and iPhone 6 to beta 5. iPad has excellent battery life, battery on the iPhone 6 sucks!
At 50% with 2 hours of mild usage.. I did OTA updates on both devices. Will try a clean restore tonight to see if that helps. I have submitted feedback to apple using the new Feedback app

I've noticed that too. Geekbench is reporting that iOS 9 (for me) is faster than iPhone 6 and 6+ that run 8.4.

Is that when the battery run out or was at a very low percentage?

It was about 10% at that stage. Just reset the settings, then if that fails backup restore. Its probably a rogue app thats not iOS 9 optimised yet.

Having reset the settings, stumbled upon a few things I hadn't noticed or read about before, like the new 6 digit pin code option :)

Battery performance is as good as or even better than 8.4 for me with the 6 Plus! Previously where the battery would start depreciating rapidly as it got closer to zero from 10%, now it's lasting a whole lot longer!
