Well, I hope beta 6 maybe adds WiFi calling for Rogers in Canada, but as a Rogers customer and a Canadian.. We get shafted on almost everything.

I wouldn't hold your breath on that. I'm on Rogers also and they flat out lied a year ago about it. Rogers publicly said they were going to bring wifi calling when iOS 8 got released. Well, it's a year later and iOS 9 is soon to be out and we still have no wifi calling.

Im not even sure we need another beta. Beta 5 is working flawlessly on my iPhone 6, so i wouldn't mind waiting for GM anymore. :)

There is a 5 week interval between last beta and GM since the keynote moved to the September (or October for iOS 5 and iPhone 4s). Based on this fact, I think that beta 5 was the last beta before iOS 9 GM.

Please note that iOS 7 beta 5 was planned to be the last beta before GM.

Lol. No. Apple doesn't want iOS 9 to flop like 8 did. There'll be another beta, that's obvious. Thus there are many bugs on beta 5 and iOS has already reached beta 7 and 8 before... One month before release is a lot to freeze a major version.

To be fair, there has (historically) been one month between the final beta and the release of the GM. Of course that can be different this year, but just wanted to point that out.

Surely there has to be another beta? Has anyone (who has an iPhone 6 Plus) noticed the promised performance improvements and battery life over what they saw in 8.3? I don't think I am (but it has been a bit so my memory might be failing). I want to see the promised metal improvements and batter life improvements which I hope that beta 6 will deliver.

Check the number of days used to beta test major versions... iOS 9 is the lowest. There'll be a beta 6.
One version will be the lowest out of all of them, right? At the time of that version no one really thought that would necessarily be the case until it was. Nothing there indicates that it's a given or that it's even necessarily likely that something like that won't (or would) be the case.

This is my 2 cents...

Apple should release Beta 6 on August 20th (this Thursday, 2 weeks since Beta 5) and then they'll have 20 days so sort out the last bugs untill September 9th, wich would be next Keynote. And on the 9th GM will seed!

I think another beta is necessary. Beta 5 is the most usable and stable beta so far, however, it's still slower than beta 4. Especially the lag when opening an app is noticable. Also it's somehow not possible to wake up the screen without a choppy fade-in.

Both beta 4.0 and 6.0 were only 5 betas. And iOS 9 isn't the lowest. It's not even September yet, it still has roughly 30 more days to add in that chart. (Which will beat 4.0 in days it was in beta.)

There won't be a new beta. They have to build the GM before the iPhone 6s production starts, and it's just a matter of days now.

I've wondered the same. Either the phones are updated when boxed, or updated OTA in flight.

Beta 6 is ready since last week and is GM and we will be testing it for 9.0.1 on launch.

Wake up children.

iOS9 runs pretty damn good on my ipad air 2, but a little laggy on my 6+.. I think the ram thing has a lot to do with it. Hoping for 6S to come out with some more ram as i paid off my phone in full already 6+Gold w/128GB unlocked that i will be giving to my cousin in europe as he is patiently waiting lol.

Beta 5 on the iPhone 5s has MASSIVE battery and heating issues. Battery drops insanely fast for no reason whatsoever.
On the other hand, iPad Air 2 is flawless regarding the battery life (about 3 or 4 days of standby with moderate usage) but it needs improvements on performance. It is lagging a bit.
