I have a DL, and the screen is almost perfect.

I did notice a slight yellow band at bottom of the screen when I first got the iPad, but that seemed to have cleared up over the past few days that I have had it.

How many days? Mine is the same but don’t believe in miracles or glue drying thing.

Maybe you've learned to live with it? I would like to think it will happen to me.

Bored of Apple screens lottery every year.

I decided to switch to Silver from the Space Grey that I originally had with the yellow tint. The Silver that I got yesterday has more even tones and is not as yellowish as the one I returned.

I provided a picture of mine I took at night time. But I'll post another and see if it helps anytime.

Serial starts with: DM

I returned mine. New one has a DM s/n and there's still the slightest of shadows along the side above the home button- but VERY slight in comparison to the one I returned, where it was instantly and immediately obvious, especially when you put the two side by side. The genius said it was because there wasn't enough adhesive along that edge, allowing the screen to lift- and that's certainly how it looked.

Mine was changed at a genius appointment. It was an internet order bought on my father's card and changed at my local store- no quibbles whatsoever.

Finally the Premium Reseller changed my iPad with small yellow band at the bottom side. It was not a big issue but apart from that the case showed two small scratches in one of the corners.

Now the band is even less obvious but my screen is one of that so called “warm” or yellow.

Both iPads, returned and new one are DM.... (if the link is right, the first one produced in week 22 and the new one in April, week 17)

I noticed the same exact thing when I first powered on my new iPad Pro 10.5 inch for the first time yesterday. I didn't pay much attention to it but I could notice some yellow and uneven tint. It first seemed like a crappy configuration of TrueTone but its nothing to how I remember seeing TrueTone for the first time last year with my 9.7 iPad. I have a graphic designers eye so it was very noticeable but I will try to see if I can get pictures of it when I get home.

For me no more stress and just enjoying.

Settings/General/Accesibility/Display accomodations/Colour Filters/Colour Tint/Hue

And end of story.

I knew about this settings but never tried as my iPhone 7 Plus is enough white for me. Now I found utility for users, as me, crazy about LCD screens.

My 10.5" Pro also had a thin yellow tinted strip at the bottom of the screen. I noticed it the first time I switched it on & was at the "Hello" screen. I gave it a few days to see if it would burn out but it didn't - so I returned mine today. No point paying top dollar for something that's not built properly.

Will be the second device I will be returning tomorrow. :( First one had a black patch towards the home screen and was generally darker down that side. The second device is generally darker at the bottom of the display and colours are off. Devices were both bought in Germany in Store 24th June.

I finally returned mine.

When watching a film at night I discovered a backlight leak so that added to yellow band was too much for me.

I will try again in a few months.

Here is my final 10.5 Pro, returning it tomorrow. Picture taken with my iPhone 7.
The iPad display settings are: Brightness 50%, TT off, Auto brightness off. The home button is on the left side in the picture.

I purchased an IPad Pro 10.5 from Apple then I had one sent from JohnLewis

Placed them side by side and the one from JL had a distinct yellow tinge at the bottom left of where the home button is

Both iPads are DM, sending the JL back tomorrow

All DM serial iPad's seems to be having good quality !
Not in my case. I have 10.5 wifi only that starts with DLX and the screen is perfect. No dead/stuck pixels, no dust underneath and no yellow band or uneven tint. I also picked if the cellular one as well that starts with dmpt and that one has this yellow band (portrait mode) on the home button side. So not all dmpt have good quality. Same goes for DLX. I just happen to get one on first apttempt with DLX with good screen.

DM serial number for me. I think my screen is uniform, wasn't sure whether one of the sides was slightly more yellow than the other though?

I’m past the 14 day return window, so would they replace the screen or replace the device, if I took it into the Apple Store?
I'm sorry; not trying to sound like a d, but if you think your screen is uniform, and had to ask users here to check for you, why would you replace purely on their opinion if you can't really tell with your naked eye?

Especially as you aren't asking people to judge on how they see your screen, but rather on how they see a photo of your screen

I actually thought there was a tint above the home button, but if I came out and said "looks like there’s a tint above the home button" then people are already conditioned to expecting to see a tint.

Urghhh now on my 4th and still have a yellow tint at the top of the screen

This is really doing my head in

I'm not paying £709 for something which doesnt have a clean white screen all over

I've never had this issue with any other iPad I've purchased, just seems to be the 10.5 which is giving me grief

Hi there.

Anyone with yellow band that finally has dissapeared?

I really doubt it but...

Thanks in advance.
