iPad 10.5 Yellow tint/uneven brightness

Almost, but the small percentage of users across the various threads seem to indicate that devices with DM serials have no visible issues (to them)
I had an iPad 10,5 that started with DM.
I have an uneven screen brightness towards the side of the home button.
I'm in the process of returning it.
Other then that it's a very beautiful device.
Oh regarding the return process. I bought it online, and tried to return it in our Apple store in Brussels. The sales guy told me 'you can't return it here, you have to send it back to Apple'. Something about different inventory lines. Have you heard this before? Very annoying.

Seems like the rep just didn't want to help you. I purchased things online that I returned in store. Most recently being on the 13th when I ordered an Apple Pencil. I returned it in store no problem.

Maybe I had to do it on a Monday when there's no one in the store instead of a Saturday...or it's EU vs US different policies?
Just got mine in the mail today and I'm probably going to return it/try to exchange it tomorrow.
I have some very noticeable light bleed from the bottom middle of the screen near the home button. It's fine most of the time but as soon as you try to watch a video with any dark or night scenes you can't miss it.

Just got a DM and even though it has a beautiful panel (no issues other than the yellow faint band and very subtle backlight bleed) it definitely feels like it was rushed in assembly as there was glue coming out and the bottom edge glass was lifting up.

My problem is that although it has only 3 days, as I have no Apple Store near and didn't want to wait for receiving at home, I bought it in Ktuin premium reseller (once and never again) and they say that a change is not applicable as is not a defect because is usual in LCD screens and they don't accept returns as box is open.
Is not a big issue but once you discover it, you never stop looking at that.

Mine is DM too and same yellow band. Issue is so light that I can not even send a picture but I notice it right now typing as the space bar is mid cold mid warm.
This is an off-the-cuff comment with no proof it will actually work, but would heating that area with a hairdryer and pressing down on the screen fix this problem?
pictures? hard to believe they have glue coming out?
my bottom glass sits maybe 1/4 of a mm above the metal so not completely flush - but it's so darn close I'm not going to play the panel lottery over this.
These threads are the funniest. Especially when users post photos of their issue and there's nothing there.
In my case I already admitted that I was not able to send a picture where issue can be seen because is a light one.
No need to justify. Some people just don't have the visual clarity for such issues.
Your pic does show a slight pink hue on the keyboard, quite similar to my yellowish tint.
I have a DLX, with a DMPT replacement on the way.. Will see how that fares, otherwise I might opt to wait a couple of months before purchasing again.
How did you know you have a DM coming? They tell you the serial # when you buy it? I haven't bought online from Apple in awhile.
Please let us know how the DM screen is vs the DL...i have a DL going back because of a pinkish screen.
I'm pretty sure when it ships you can see serial# on the way,
I Used to look up manufacture date of iDevices as they were en route

The Serial Number is listed in my order confirmation.
Will update once I get it tomorrow!
Awesome. New DL coming is week 17. Crappy glued DM was week 19. Two DLs with average screen but beautifully assembled are week 21.
Ill wait for the w17 DL to draw any more informed guesses and conclusions about the overall quality of them.
