Yes sir. I am offloading my 12.9" 128 GB cellular model and getting 10.5"

12.9" is a wrong size for night reading or reading on a couch.

Can't imagine holding the 12.9" comfortably on a lap while on the couch, just too heavy and massive

So easy to rationalize one way or the other, lol.

-Get a new 12.9, you'll love true tone and the updated screen, reduced weight and less latency for the pencil.

-Get a 10.5 to have a portable iPad to compliment your 12.9.

-The original 12.9 is still a beast and will easily last for another year or more. Hold onto it until a potential redesign next year.

I know. This is what's killing me. The only thing is, I have to have LTE because we live in the boonies and my only internet access is my AT&T data. I just can't keep one of each plus my phone and justify all the data costs.

I’m surprised that Apple is including a 12w power adapter with the 12.9” iPad Pro again. I bought the USB-C power adapter to use with my iPad Pro because 12w wasn’t nearly enough to charge the iPad while in use.

This is exactly why. Apple is a for-profit business. Don't include it so people buy it (and the cable).

Cha-ching goes the Wall Street...

Resale value on the 12.9" is pretty bad. Everywhere I go I'm seeing $275 which is not much more than the 9.7" model. Is it just because the size isn't popular or because the screen isn't true tone?
I just upgraded to the new 12.9,I sold my previous gen 12.9 on eBay for $500 it is mint condition 32 gb wifi,so I'd recommend selling on eBay. Right now most are going for $500 and up.

I'd list on ebay as well. I have a mint condition 128 gb, and if I decide to go to a 10.5, I'll be selling with my ASK as well. I just cannot make up my mind!

I bought the gen 1 12.9 at launch and have ordered the gen 2. Big things for me are the increased storage and the superior screen.

128GB just isn't enough. The 12.9 is great for watching films and I travel by train quite a bit so having my own 'inflight movie' is fab. As there is no usable connectivity on UK trains local storage is the only option, here.

I use the Pro as my primary computing device at home, and spend hours reading on it, including larger format books that you couldn't read (or even get) on a Kindle. So the possibility of reading outdoors with the new screen is also pretty enticing.

I don't upgrade every generation, but this step is worth it and one of my buddies bought my gen 1 off me in a heart beat, so the cost of change isn't too bad. I'm a little concerned about the lack of back cases, however, since my iPad goes everywhere with me as my work notebook, so that is essential.

The new version of the 12.9 won't fit in the current back cases?

Huh? Just sold mine (128gb LTE) for $589 -- which I thought was too low! Granted, it was in flawless condition, with the original box. The attractive photos I shot and posted on Craigslist probably helped.

Tru-Tone isn't a major selling point (It is once you experience it) and I am surprised how many 9.7 Pro iPad owners have no idea what it is.

The biggest downside with a 12.9 iPad Pro is the size. Most don't find it comfortable to hold due to the size and weight and door for portability. I have read a plethora of members have sold their Pro solely due to the size.

Dude I just sold my 12.9” 128 GB Cellular for ₹51000 ($800) :D
OLX India. Things are different here.

This is the truth! I completely dismissed it until a few weeks back I checked it out at BB. Wow. After that experience I said I wouldn't upgrade to the new Pro models unless it had TT. It's going to be glorious on the 12.9 for reading purposes.

I'm good with the 12.9 that I currently have. Looking forward to iOS 11, though.

I’m currently fine with mine, using iOS 11 with it now.

But with all this talk of ProMotion with 120hz, has me rethinking of trying the new one sooner than later.. I’m sure multitasking will be buttery smooth with the new iPad Pro.

Or giving the iPad Pro 10.5 the same res as the iPad 12.9.
In, i am really torn between the 2.

I currently own the 12.9 and was I was sort of interested in the 10.5. But watching the first part of this hands on video with the 10.5 turned me off to it. Just too small, especially that onscreen keyboard.

Yup, this. That would make it a really compelling purchase for me as that would be almost like having two iPad minis side by side.

I’ve been trying to watch some of these hands on videos. It definitely looks like a nice screen real estate improvement to the 9.7, but still not close to the screen of the 12.9.

I had the 12.9" for about a year and then sold it to buy the 9.5" because the 12.9" was just too large for my liking. I think the 9.5" is a bit too small though, so I think I'll be buying the 10.5".
