I have decided not to pull the trigger, but it still is a compelling upgrade.
The processor difference is 30% and graphic performance is 40% faster. If you had that kind of improvement on a Mac, that is a no brainer upgrade. If in some benchmarks the A9X is faster than a 2015/6 m3, how much more is this A10X faster than the current low end Macbook?
Then add the 120hz, and true tone.
But I think at this point it is a luxury that for everyday work usage, no app is pushing these iPad pros yet.
I would have to play with it though before I can really decide, because if you are to use this as a primary work machine, you want to feel as snappy as possible. If all it does is make tab switching and loading faster then it is compelling.
