Mine went from expected ship of Nov 6-11 to shipped and expected arrival of Nov 3 this morning. Shipping from China where its awaiting export clearing. Maybe it will pull in some more time once it clears.
Same for me...moved from Nov 11-16 to Nov 3 and its waiting for export clearing.
I ordered a 64GB Wifi only in Sky Blue - It's sitting in China. Apple says 11/3 Delivery, but the UPS app has it for this Wednesday.
I ordered the Space Gray 64 from Walmart on the 15th with 27th delivery. It finally shipped from California late last night. FedEx shows 29th delivery. I’m wondering if it was actually on a China shipment and had to be cleared like a lot of other peoples shipment is showing from Apple.
Mine moved again to expected delivery on Thursday, Oct 29. So basically pulled in by more than a week. I ordered 256GB, space grey, cellular.

Can anyone here really know? All I can say is that anecdotally, it seems like a lot of people are buying iPads since the pandemic since many are working/studying from home. The iPad Pros have been back ordered for months (see iPad Pro shipping thread), and the entry level iPad has a pretty long ship time too. The only iPad that you can get quickly is the Mini, which is probably the least popular for productivity.
I think there are supply chain issues. The iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro have a shorter shipping window than the iPad here. Even the "old" iPad Pro is not ready to ship until Nov 20 here, let alone the new Air.

Me too. But, I also got an email from UPS saying that my "new" delivery date was tomorrow 28 Oct instead of Thursday 29 Oct. Weird since UPS website still shows "Package is delayed in transit. Delivery will be rescheduled. Check back or signup for UPS My Choice® to receive updates."
Fingers crossed for tomorrow.
P.S. Was originally sheduled to be delivered 3-5 Nov, so I am way ahead either way.
Mine originally had a delivery date of Nov. 2-4 but UPS has been saying 10/28 for a while. It stayed in ZhengZou, China for 2 days and is now in Korea. I got an email from UPS yesterday saying it's going to be delivered today (10/28) but I don't see how since the last movement was arriving in Korea.
I understand the delay when it was waiting for clearance in Chongqing, but I don't understand why it sat in ZhengZou for two days. Especially since it says it was shipped with UPS Next Day Air.
