Mine doesn't say it's waiting for release or anything else, but tracking says it's still in HK. There have been three flights out since I arrived there, and tracking says I haven't been on any of them. I had hoped by this morning I'd see either an arrival scan at ANC if I took the "extra" earlier flight, or a departure from HK if I took one of the two regularly scheduled flights, but that doesn't seem the case. I hate UPS shipping; their tracking is often way behind and it really does feel like they could have delivered one's package sooner than the "scheduled" delivery date, but they hold on to it to be sure that doesn't happen. Just like this time; other people shipped at about the same time, but got an earlier ship date, so theirs seems to have moved right along. Mine, on the other hand, while shipping at the same time, got a later date and UPS isn't going to inconvenience me by delivering it early (with notification, of course).
I'm hoping (but not optimistic) that we just have missed our departure scans and will yet see an arrival scan in ANC later today (I am assuming you are also in North America). Other than that, we're at their mercy for now.
