Ordered wifi iPad and pencil engraved 4/30 early evening. Rec'd the pencil and have 6/23-7/8 window for the ipad! Hmph

Last week on Wednesday, Apple updated my ETA to June 15 to June 29m, while all New York City stores had it in stock.
I did not cancel and go pick one up over the weekend.
Today, June 15 got Apple's message that it is arriving tomorrow Wednesday, June 16.

Same here and I don't get it why some had the delivery window moved to an earlier date while others didn't, and also so many were able to find them in stock in their area. It defeats the purpose of having it pre-ordered.
Is your iPad also engraved?
I have the feeling that ATT is prioritizing shipments to those with a new line activation vs upgrading a current line.
Mine is WiFi only, from Apple.
That wouldn't be fair of them though.
Still, are there so many new customers of AT&T ordering iPPs?
not sure how many could be ordering. Ordering through them makes it attractive since you can essentially 0% APR finance the ipad if you want the cellular option.
You beat me, although supposedly it will come today. UPS rescheduled my delivery to a day earlier than original, due to a late flight. No, that’s not one of my typos. So it was now supposed be be today 9:30–13:30. Now it’s 15:40 and UPS now says “by 19:00.” I’m having memories of my Titanium Apple Card which was on the delivery truck two or three separate days and never delivered before I finally had it held and went to pick it up.
UPS’s tracking also has my clearing customs in Louisville about six hours after it was already in California.
Same. Same delivery window updates+shipping to NYC. Mine shipped today from Pennsylvania with a UPS label created in the US.

Usually, it takes about a day, at least it did for mine when it shipped from China in May.(received 5-6 days after shipping). There were a few, mainly in the UK, where the “preparing to ship” stage took longer.
Mine was finally delivered yesterday. It has taken time to get files transferred (tried to do it on set up but didn’t seem to work; tried with iMazing and was going to take three days; finally did a good enough jobs with iTunes (I am on High Sierra).
I’ve even now had time to lose/misplace my new Pencil. *Sigh* Some things never change.
Still have to go to the Apple Store to fix up the charge on the wrong card. Probably tomorrow; maybe tonight if I get done with some other things early.

Ours will arrive tomorrow, yay!! Can’t wait and am thinking to take the rest of the day off after its delivery.
After weeks of (not so) patiently waiting for it to be shipped, with no movement in sight, I finally gave up yesterday evening and ordered for me and my DD from BestBuy, and they will be delivered tomorrow. Apple store, buh-bye! Preordering an item does not mean waiting for months while others can find the said item in stores. It defeats the purpose of preordering. I really wanted to have mine engraved but I may get some kinda skin and engrave that before installing it. Or not. Not decided yet.
