LOS ANGELES BABY!!
It just showed up in my UPS app. I have UPS my choice, or you could get it by checking your order on Apple and click on tracking. UPS has track by reference and you'd use your order number to track it.
You can also track by reference by using your phone number associated to your Apple ID.

I’m guessing Best Buy will ship out on Wednesday for a Friday delivery date. I hope I don’t end up regretting going with Best Buy over the Apple Store, but Best Buy has never done me wrong before.
My Best Buy order still states "Should ship on Monday, May 24," which is the same date listed on the product page for those placing orders today. Has yours always said May 21?

Umm.. not sure where you got the 24th date. But it’s always been 21st for me.

It said the 24th when I ordered, as well.

It's always been the 21st for me. Although on my order online, there's really no information. I only get information through email and the last email I received was on the 6th. Saying the release date is on the 21st... I take that as to mean, I would receive it on the 21st... but I could be wrong.

Any movement on 11inch iPads?
Nope. Maybe 11inch version is already available in the specific delivering country and it will just ship before 2-3 days for delivery thats why its not moving. And will be delivered on the same day as 12.9inch

It’s sad that not one single Canadian buyer has even gotten the “preparing to ship” update yet, and that’s for those with the earliest delivery window. I wonder why the Canadian orders are slower to progress?

That doesn’t bode well for my order, which is roughly two weeks after the earliest ones. I’m not expecting any sign of movement until close to the end of the month.
I’m in TO and got the “preparing to ship” a few days ago. Nothing about “shipped” yet. Got my confirmation email 13 minutes after preorders went live. Crossing fingers and toes for you!

I think this is a reasonable assessment. The 12.9"s are shipping out because they need to come from overseas. I would wager that the 11" models are already stateside here in the US and will ship from Apple facilities sometime early to mid next week.

Has anyone ever had an Apple package rerouted to a different UPS pickup? I'm leaving for a trip the morning of delivery and was wondering if I could have it delivered to the island in FL where I will be staying. There's a UPS location a block from where I'm staying. Just curious if anyone has done this before and if I'm asking for trouble even trying to do it.

I have had it done before using My Choice. One possibility is a day or so delay caused by the reroute. If you call UPS and provide specifics, they may be able to give you a better estimate of delay if any.

This is my question too -- just that I won't be at my office the day it's sent. Need to re-route to a UPS Store less than 5 minutes up the road...

I usually have it rerouted to a UPS CC. Pick it up just as they open. Now some UPS Stores can cause a delay depending on when they deliver to them for the day. Seems to be hit and miss.

That‘s good news, and good to know that at least some Canadian orders are moving along. I hope that you get the actual shipping notice today.

I’m going to make a guess, since I’m 2 weeks later, that I’ll get the “preparing to ship” update sometime around the 27th or 28th, if things remain on schedule.

My email was 39 minutes after preorders went live, estimated June 4-10.

I went the UPS website to arrange for pickup and it says $110 fee...no matter where I have it held.

I just called UPS and they rerouted it to a local UPS Store for me. There was a nominal fee (I think $7.99). I had to talk to the international department though, as I was forwarded from the main number. The international number is 1(800) 782-7892. They were extremely helpful!

Wish there was a way to do it on the website, but being an international shipment, I'm sure that introduced issues. They said I should get it for pickup on May 21!

I have done it frequently. There is a fee ($10 I think). Based on your Zip Code there is a drop down list of places that accept UPS deliveries. One caveat: call the store you want to use for the pick up and ask if they are still doing it. One store near me was in the middle of a major refurbishment and was not accepting UPS packages for pick up. Was not noted on the UPS menu of sites. Otherwise, very easy.
