I don’t think UPS uses its own fleet in China. They have no flights listed departing from ZhengZhou. I suspect they contract Cargolux, which has two 747 cargo planes departing to Anchorage at 11:20 AM CST today.

So, my guess is the shipments that arrived in ZhengZhou will be on that flight.
Where do you go to find this out?

Where did sell your Air?

It’s happening! Just had the order show up in the UPS app ?? Figured I’d get mine later in the month since the estimated date still shows 21-31 on the Apple Store app! UPS says 21st!! Ahhh, is it next Friday yet? ?

Update: there’s three different dates.
Email: May 25th
Apple Store app: May 21-31
UPS: May 21st

Weird, no?
Lucky, still processing on my side. Waterloo resident here...

I’m in California with a delivery date on the 21st. I usually have UPS hold it at the local customer center so I can pick it up in the morning. This time the only option is an Access Point Locker. Anyone ever use on of those? I tried to call
UPS but could not get through to an agent. They would only give automated responses. Any ideas?

Thanks

I got an email very early yesterday morning which says it will arrive on the 21st. I had trouble getting my order to go through that morning but it ultimately processed 12 minutes after the store went live.

I had gotten a TV ship from BB… about a year ago. But once you get an email notification of shipped status.. you’ll be given a tracking number once you go to the BB website to login. I’m guessing Tuesday or Wednesday we will get some type of update.
Yeah, that’s what I am thinking too. Best Buy has always been on point in the past, so I know we’ll get these on the 21st with everyone else.

Has anyone noticed that their iPad shipping date slipped? My order confirmation email is timed at 8:01AM EST, and I ordered a 12.9 1TB Silver Personalized; confirmation email states delivery May 21-28 and now I just logged in and checked online and it has slipped to June 2-9?? Little peeved about that, especially since just this afternoon it still had May 21-28 listed...WTF?

I‘m sorry to hear this, and I wonder whether it might be worthwhile calling Apple in this case.

I hope that they can give you answers, and straighten things out for you.

My 12.9” is scheduled to be delivered May 21 like so many others. My AppleCare+ Proof of Coverage says the coverage End Date is May 12, 2023. This isn’t a problem, but why is the end date not 2 years from the day it arrives, May 21, 2023?

It will be when you register the iPad during set up

I’m thinking that the date when your AppleCare+ coverage takes effect is the date that you actually take ownership of the device, or when your credit card is charged and your item is shipped, not the date when you receive it.

If you check your receipt for your coverage, it actually shows the end date.

The receipt emailed to me, shows the end date. My receipt shows an end date of May 12th, 2023.

Obviously I haven't taken ownership or possession of my iPad 2 days ago. So it would seem Apple decides coverage begins on an order when it's shipped to you, and they perhaps consider an order filled.

The end date will change when you taken ownership and register the iPad to your iCloud account

Definitely not the smoothest Apple product launch for me, and I’ve had a few.
I mean the actually ordering of my 12.9 1tb iPad Pro was relatively easy but it’s been a grind since.

Several calls to get billing sorted out got to be a bit frustrating but they seemed to have everything fixed by Wednesday and I was assured payment would process this time.

Thursday rolls around and no charge on my payment method and my arrival date slipped from May 21-28 to June 2-9. I bring up the chat and they can’t find out what’s up with the processing and my purchases needed “more information” so they ask me to call a specific number. I call and it goes to a voice prompt telling me the typical “this call may be recorded” stuff and goes direct to a human who already had my info up, he tells me that my specific iPad was pulled for a routine check before processing and he’ll get it out ASAP and not to worry. I say thanks, we hang up, a minute later the charge notification comes through. Very odd.

It shipped. Apple store order page still says it will arrive by June 2-9 but the UPS tracking says May 21st so ?‍♂️

12.9", 256gb, silver, wifi, no engraving.
I got my confirmation email 4 minutes after pre orders opened, status is still processing and no charge done yet.
Apple says my ipad will be delivered May 28.
Anyone in Europe who has seen their status change from processing, or is it only US orders that have been shipped and will be delivered May 21?

I'm exactly the same as you with regard to the specs and delivery date and got my email 11 minutes after orders opened due to a few failed purchase attempts. I've not noticed any EU customers mentioning any status changes yet so it seems they haven't got around to us yet :) I've seen comments that the EU orders are actually sent to Europe first before they are marked as shipped. I've certainly had other devices I've tracked from China, but this is the first iPad I've ordered since my 10.5 Pro in 2017.

Edit: AC+ starts at the date of purchase, not the date you actually receive or activate the device, and it can’t be changed. So if you buy it together with iPad Pro, the 2-year count down starts before shipping.

That’s why I will enroll it online when I receive my iPad Pro and make sure that there is nothing wrong with the unit.

Seeing that I got the confirmation 4 minutes after pre orders started I would guess I am in the first group of deliveries. Any chance that the «launch» date in Europe will be one week later than US? Or is there a chance I will see movement on my order this weekend/early next week and then the delivery date will change to May 21?

Just a guess from me, but if some US customers are getting deliveries on the 21st, then I'd say there's an extremely good chance that some European customers will also get them on this date. Keep an eye on your inbox! ?
