My 11" 256gb WIFI Space Grey just had movement. Moved from Processing to Preparing to ship along with a white magic keyboard I ordered. Credit card also got charged. Date still remains the same May 21 - 27.
 
So, was your order in transit when they applied your gift card? I may have a gift card to use and it would be great if they adjusted the balance.
It was not in transit. It was still processing. I was told it has to still be processing for them to apply a gift card. Once it goes to preparing to ship or shipped, it’s too late.

My 12.9 on same flight. Maybe sharing same cargo pallet. LOL
 
I‘m sorry to hear this, and I wonder whether it might be worthwhile calling Apple in this case.

I hope that they can give you answers, and straighten things out for you.

Well I contacted Apple and spoke with a senior customer service manager - they told me they have no idea why it was delayed, and they could not see any issues with my order. They cannot do anything to expedite the order or the shipping option and cannot explain any reason for this either. Beyond frustrated! Since when has Apple customer service not been empowered to take care of these types of issues?

Hopefully it'll fix itself. If not try to get one for pickup in store and cancel your current order.

In this case it maybe understandable why things are out of the hands of customer service. With stock possibly very tight & none officially delivered yet, customer service probably has absolutely no say.
