So from Kentucky they go to our home city hubs?
If you are in the U.S. and in the initial launch date, this is the case the overwhelming majority of the time. Louisville is the main UPS hub. About 100 flights in a day and 100 flights out. They have places on site where they store special items until allowed to release. All of our iPads they flew in early this morning are sitting on pallets with security covering and security wire. They are not usually unboxed to single packages until the day before they need to be delivered. The exception would be if they did not have labels or where bought through a wireless carrier directly. Those pallets go to wireless carriers warehouse for breakdown and labeling a few days ahead but are the packed back up and sent to UPS Louisville or FedEx Memphis depending on how they ship.

I ordered a 12.9” 256gb cellular model through AT&T and they still show expecting to ship on 5/21-5/28. I’m guessing they used the date range initially because Apple couldn’t guarantee a firm date. Now that Apple is saying stores will have product on Friday, they must have product arriving this week, if it isn’t already here. Hopefully AT&T will get their shipments out on Thursday for Friday deliveries.

Same, been sitting at “arrived” in ZhengZhou since 5/14 without any updates. Still scheduled for 5/21 delivery.

I actually faintly remember when I ordered the OG Apple Watch years ago having the same issue then like a day or two before delivery it randomly filled in a bunch of missing/past tracking updates.
Same :(

Staying positive for a Friday delivery as that is what is says - May 21st before 7pm.

Strangley enough my IPP 12.9 128 has been "stuck" in China since 5/14 like many others. Just now I see on the UPS site another tracking number which I thought at first was my new Apple TV but looking at the reference number it matches the same invoice number for the IPP. I have never seen anything like this before with Apple. Unfortunately there is not tracking info to display atm. So it seems I have two tracking numbers for one IPP....

How come I can’t see detail progress of my shipment? I don’t know where it is at right now except it’s “On The Way”. I’ve tried logged in using my UPS account and the tracking info is the same.

Yes. Annoying. On the website now they only show detailed tracking with a few types of shipping methods. The Express Saver or how Apple sends from China isn’t one of them. Sure UPS wants app usage instead for their data farming benefit.

So, when can we expect movement out of Kentucky? I'm on the west coast, does it leave via ground, or air?

When did she order? I’m on the west coast and ordered within minutes, still stuck on preparing to ship (card was charged Monday though).FW
First ten minutes of day 1. FWIW, I accidentally typed "shipped" in my initial post. Hers is still "preparing to ship".
