Launch day order of the 11" 256GB to Massachusetts. Moved from preparing to ship to shipped this morning. The estimated delivery date (via Apple) is Monday the 24th. If this holds, it will be the first time I haven't gotten a launch day delivery on launch day.

I ordered mine though Sprint/T-Mobile on April 30th at 8:30 Am. As of today (Thursday) it’s still pending and Sprint is not sure when it will ship. Should be soon but not sure. First time I’m not getting it on launch day. Not very happy.

So Calif
The iPad is coming from Lebanon, TN!

I’m in Illinois.

“Shipper created a label, UPS has not received the package yet.
So no tracking from China ?

This means that your iPad was pulled from an Apple Store stock.

I had this happen on my M1 Mini last November.

I guess so. It’s right outside Nashville. Got an update this morning saying it will be delivered tomorrow.

Cool - this means that some deliveries will be made using Apple Store stock !

Will surprise a lot of people when they see their many weeks of "Processing order" status changes to "Shipped" overnight!

When did you original order say it was supposed to be delivered by?

Anyone planning to start their trade in after the fact in store? Looking to trade in my 2nd Gen 12.9 iPad Pro but I’d rather see what they offer in person after looking it over to avoid surprises.

Is it pretty easy to do same day and avoid the hassle of dragging out the process in the mail?

Yes. I am. I will trade in my 3rd gen after receiving the new iPad. You can check on the Apple website for your trade in value.

Apple actually has a warehouse just outside Nashville, contracted out through a 3rd party logistics company. It’s not being fulfilled by store stock, these 11” tablets were already in country and sitting in a warehouse. Unlike most of the 12.9” stock which is fresh off the factory floor.

Thanks, I’ve never done a trade in through Apple so I was unsure. I did go through the online questionnaire for the estimated value.

It’s tough though because there are a couple little dings and one area where the backlight looks a little wonky looking against light backgrounds. Figured I’d be better off having it looked at it person incase they undercut it as id probably just keep it rather than have them “recycle it free of charge” lol

That’s what I was thinking too. I knew it had to be a warehouse or something.

I remember the silver/space grey option, and wifi/cell, but I don’t remember the male/female/non-binary option.
I think the new IPP's have the HAL chip from 2001 A Space Odyssey. No worries on the pronoun business. SIRI will correct you. "Dave, don't address me like that".

Same. I guess they're waiting for later today for an overnight shipment. We will probably see some progress soon!
Yeah, I agree with his. Mine at the Apple website still says it's on for tomorrow. UPS still shows as label created and in transit to UPS. I'm guessing today that status will change and I will receive the iPad tomorrow. Also will get the ATV which is in the same status.

That being said, it hasn't stopped me from refreshing the UPS tracking compulsively... ?‍♂️
