I’m pretty certain everyone got BUMPED once people found available iPad’s at the store and cancelled their web orders. MR forum has pretty much helped me figure out that it’s a waste of time to do an online preorder. Sheesh.

Thank you! it seemed there were one-week windows for people near the beginning of there window, perhaps, and two week windows otherwise, for arrival/ship times. I’m not sure I remember seeing anyone in the 5/28-6/4 window explicitly (but I could have just forgotten, or they ended up in the 5/21-28 window). Either way, my window does start one week behind you, although it is wider on the back en. I will repost the sooner of i saw it happen“ or tomorrow morning.
1tb wifi space gray ipad ordered on preorder day 1 with an original delivery estimate of june 2-9 just got delivered via UPS here in Seattle.
Of course I was impatient and went and got one in store on launch day so I have to return this 2nd iPad now.

The closest that I can remember to the window that you mentioned were some that mentioned either May 25-28, or May 26-31, and I think that they all got theirs a week ago. There were one or two unfortunate people who were bumped later, from their original May 21-27 date, but only one or two, and I have no idea why, other than the possibility that demand for their particular model exceeded expectations, so some were moved to later dates.
I will still keep an eye on this thread and hope that you get good news tonight.

Any idea where I could obtain a 12.9 iPad Pro 2021 with the M1 chip? Would feel beneficial to have it in hand before an Apple shipping date of July 1 - July 4 they are currently stating in the email. Kind enough to send the keyboard very quickly. Ordered the WIFI and 256 with dark gray color.

This is probably a stupid question, but have you been checking the on line inventory at Apple Stores and Best Buy? I picked up a 256 12.9 Silver on launch day at the Apple Store. They posted their inventory at about 7:30 that morning and I had been watching since 6am. I’m not sure when Best Buy posts theirs.
Same thing happened to me. Had the same delivery window so snatched one as soon as my local Apple Store posted their inventory on launch day. My preorder went to preparing to ship before I was able to pick up the launch day one. It arrived on Tuesday so I’m returning it tonight. I did decide to go with the 256 instead of the original 128 so I don’t consider it a complete waste on time and was able to use it all weekend which was nice.
Yes. I’ve seen one in the other color (which is not a deal breaker) but at the moment it looks like I somehow got an extra $99 price break over the regular $100 .edu price, and I at this point I haven’t figured a plausible way to negotiate that at the store as well. So, yes, i do admit to making a cpncious choice to stick with the original order. Thanks for the suggestion, though. The 2TB cellular does not seem to be a common available config at the moment.
I have seen some members have their status proceed to “preparing to ship” on other days, even Sunday, so don’t give up hope yet.
I agree with DianaMR. If there’s an Apple Store nearby, be sure to go online around the time she mentioned every morning, and see whether there’s stock available for pickup, in store. They replenish their stock randomly, so it’s best to check regularly. You could also try Best Buy, but my feeling is that the Apple Store is the best bet.

Hey, it seems like many people have received theirs early. I have ordered my 12.9inch IPP on the 14th of May with an estimated delivery window from the 16th to the 30th of June. I was wondering how far ahead Apple is with their deliveries. Would people mind sharing when their original delivery window was and when they ended up getting it? (If your iPad arrived early that is).

Wow, that is awkward! I preordered mine on the day of preorders opening (but at night, we were traveling) and I still have an ETA at the end of June, 28th, to beginning of July. My daughter, for whom I placed the order only a couple of days later, got a later ETA then bumped rapidly to my ETA. Both iPPs engraved indeed but that shouldn’t take that long. Is yours going to be engraved?

But the delivery window was a bit weird, a couple of days before I ordered it was well into July, but then they seemed to have adjusted their estimates and the delivery windows were bumped back into June so I ordered instantly.Wow, that is awkward! My order was placed on opening day, just a bit more than 30 minutes after the store opened. 12.9”, 512 GB, WiFi only, Space Grey.

Ordered 07.05. and order still being processed, checked out their M1 iPad listings the other say - it now says 6-8 weeks lead time. I wonder whether it means 6-8 weeks since the day I ordered or the week they added this info to the listings. It looks like they missed on the early orders and were left out without stock given that some online retailers have 11 available to dispatch within few days while some even supposedly say the same for 12.9!
Sigh, I dont have any other device than my own iPhone Mini after I sold my replacement 10.5 iPP, dont like borrowing SO’s 5th gen iPad or Surface Book, well, heres hope that maybe cases from China will arrive around the same time as my 12.9” iPP.

Hi, mine was originally slated to be delivered from June 2-9 and I received it on Thursday, May 27th. It went from processing to preparing to ship on the Friday before so it took about six days to from there to my house.
So, let’s suffer together. Exactly same situation here, with my 12.9” iPP.... so at least this confirms me it’s their timeline for all, not that my order might got stuck. My daughter’s order placed a few days later had an initial eta in July then got bumped to my eta.
Interesting what a few hours difference when ordering mean in a few days difference in etd. So, I placed my order the same day as you but at night, still there’s a few days difference. I guess there’s nothing I can do anyway....
Nvm, I just rechecked, my ETD is June 23- July 8.
What was your configuration? That seems to make a difference as well as order time. Mine is silver 2TB cellular. I have probably seen a few that are the same (except maybe color), including one in SG at the store this week, but not very many.
I’m hoping to see it ship this week; if so, it will arrive on time (6/9)or maybe a few days early; not a week early. I figure it needs to ship by then to make the beginning of the window. Of course, the window is two weeks long and there’s no guarantee it will be at the beginning of the window…
