i have the Apple case and I actually think it's very good
imho, i think it's good enough.. it protects the back, sides and the front (when closed obviously)...
All the chrome is covered, so less risk of scratches..
works for me anyway

I agree. Tax wise, as an end user, we get screwed from every direction. Taxed when you earn your money and taxed again when you spend it. VAT should be called BOHICA tax (Bend Over Here It Comes Again)

Life is life. There are things we have to do. VAT helps keep stability, albeit a really annoying part of trade.
Add me to the list of people who couldn't wait any longer. I collected mine in person last night and I couldn't be happier.
After the delay was announced I effectively lost a whole day obsessing, trying to find a retailer... scouring ebay. I figured I might as well just pay a little more, get over it and go and buy one. I probably paid about £100 over the odds but some of the texts from friends this morning have been more than worth it. I just can't stop playing with it. The iPhone already feels minute.

A friend of mine who picked me up a 64GB iPad on Wednesday, and was due to arrive for a week's holiday/business trip tomorrow, has just told me he's had to cancel the entire trip due to the Icelandic volcano.

similar situation, my mate who went to NYC last week bought me a 64GB ipad (sold out of the other models in the Manhattan Apple store), but now he doesnt think he'll be able to fly back this weekend!
luckily he lives here, so he's gotta get home at some point

Whilst on the boasting trial, I picked up an iPad 64gb brand new with Apple iPad case for the same price ;-)
