lol, i don't have to prove it, i could take a pic of my macbook and ipad at home though, but then again i dont have a flash on my 32gb iPhone 3GS so it wouldnt look that good, shame :(

Oh purleeze. The 3gs takes pictures without a flash just fine. You just need a steady hand and decent light. If I can do it, so can you (look some of my previous posts up if you like to see why I say that without any sarcasm. lol.)

Pics or it wasn't you and ICM5UKP. ;)

I cracked, bought one on ebay. Whilst I know I've paid over the odds, and I was debating with myself all day yesterday and today, I'm now completely de-stressed and happy. Totally worth the extra money.

and i don't even have it yet!

Well customs confirmed with me today that mine will be here Monday and I should have no duty to pay. Yippee to that.

But thats like 2 more days? Boo to that!

Has anyone bought from Simply Electronics? I'm really wary but the prices on eBay are now frickin' ridiculous and I'm very close to cracking..........:(

I bought two from Simply Electronics last Thursday evening and they arrived in perfect condition in Edinburgh quicker than they quoted, on Wednesday morning this week. Very happy!

I noticed that they wouldn't give the option of express delivery, but they actually did arrive the day after they were dispatched. This made me wonder if they were actually importing them from the states on the fly, as it were. If so, then there would be a problem now because of the closure of UK airspace...

Interesting. They don't have a very good rep from what I understand so them actually fulfilling the order at all is, from what I have been led to believe, pretty damn amazing. Lucky you.

That poster actually just joined today to post that so I would take anything he says about that company with a grain of salt...

I've been looking into the (three) MiFi option so I can pair it with a WiFi iPad instead of buying the 3G version..... Anybody have experience with the three MiFi? I've seen it for £49.99.

Ha ha I just bought delivery status touch, a package tracker so I can now track my ipad at the touch of an app

So if it's left the US, how is it planning on getting here if the airspace is still restricted??

We have three of them in the family. Great device.. What do you want to know about it.

That's cool. Just wanted to know if it is worth the money and if you think it is a good alternative to paying extra for the 3G iPad. I think I might be good because not only is it less expensive than the extra cost of a 3G iPad (I'm sure they will be more than £50 extra), but of course the MiFi can connect to my iPhone, MacBook etc when I'm out and about.

It's obviously not as convenient as built in 3G but for me it's a lot more versatile. It means carrying around another bit of kit but it is small. Plus you need to fire it up to connect. It gets used a lot in the car. Son logs onto it with his Asus Eee and the wife with her iPhone. Sons iPhone also connects using it and my iPhone will be logged into it as well. It handles many devices all at once. Battery life is good but not remarkable. Wife has one she uses for an hour every day at work with a MBP and she recharges it once a week approx. Range of the wifi is better than I thought. It seems to cover a good area of the house. It's charged via USB using the suppled charger. But you can charge via USB port where if turned on will act as a USB dongle type mobile internet. It comes setup to go but you can access it via USB and configure things like the name it appears as a wifi point and also WEP and password. For me Three is the best network in my area. O2 gets edge poor, Voda is 2G. I got mine at PC World for £69 and it came with three months internet which is worth £30. So that option is worth considering.

Yes - I'm very relieved. I ordered as soon as I read that they were a uk reseller last week because I was worried they'd run out, and only afterwards had a better google around to discover that they had a bit of a bed reputation. Felt like a bit of a numpty for not checking first! Anyway - worked out for me, thankfully. Maybe they're not so bad, or maybe I was just lucky.

(Someone else seems to be sceptical that I'm even telling the truth about getting 2 ipads from them, so I guess their rep must be abysmal! But, it is true... I just joined the forum so I could post a reply to the question because I thought it might be useful info.)

Should be collecting mine on Wednesday.

The person selling it on eBay is still in America and bringing it back with her, so I am going to collect it in person, meaning I don't have to pay a penny just yet!

I just hope she can get her flight back on Wednesday!

I plan on being on her doorstep hahaha!
