Nope. But I am eagerly awaiting my Customs charge which I obviously didn't get away with.
Going on past experience, I believe the nice people at HRMC pop a letter in the post.Although to be fair, you're possibly one of the biggest culprits of taking this off topic. lol
It officially reached the UK on Sunday according to the tracking so it's sailed through customs.
I called Parcel Force who transferred me to my local depot so I could pay the charges... they won't let me pay until I have received the letter from them.
Ar$eholes. Letter probably won't be here until Thursday so I doubt I'll get it this week.
You can collect from their depot but you've got to take proof of ID showing your address... my address has changed recently so I don't have anything official with my name and new address showing.

Sorry to hear about how uncooperative ParcelForce have been with you. Perhaps you should try again particularly if it has now reached your local depot.
I phoned my local depot (Stoke) yesterday and tried to pay the customs charges but I was told that the item wouldn't be with them until the early hours of this morning, and until then they couldn't take payment. A very sweet lady said she would leave a note for her colleague who would be dealing with the matter when he started work at 6:00 am and give him my telephone number so that he could call me, take payment, and then hopefully get it on the truck in time for delivery today.
It all worked like a dream. Arrived at 8:45 am!
So, my ipad I've ordered from the States has updated tracking stating its location is at East Midlands Airport UK (about 100 Miles from where I am)...
Status was awaiting payment for Tax & Duty. Called them up amazed that it'd arrived in the UK to pay the tax in advance, only to be told that even though that is its current tracking location, this is a "virtual, internal" update, and the package is still in the US.
Apparently, this update is to speed up customs when flights start to occur again. Very annoying that the tracking lists the UK as its location when it's blatantly not true...
Some UK airspace has re-opened, but we'll wait and see what happens...

How much have they charged you?
Got hit quite badly for charges, but that's the luck of the draw and I'm just so pleased to have it 6 weeks before U.K. launch.
Just think of all those poor sods paying thousands of pounds to get back from their holidays!
On a 64GB iPad (valued at $599):
Import Duty: £10
VAT: £89.29
ParcelForce Handling Fee: £13.50
Total: £112.79
It was the local depot I called this morning who were useless.
Just called back and tried again with no problem. All paid. Delivery set for tomorrow now.

Do you have an iPhone or iPod Touch? from what ive read its not bad but reflective never the less. im looking at getting an anti glare film for mine asap!

Argh im so disappointed! My friend was going to bring me over an ipad, a case and itunes vouchers tomorrow. Guess what, because of the goddamn Ash cloud, his business trip got cancelled. I guess I have to wait like everyone else now . I need to go on an ipad embargo, I need to stop reading forums and looking at youtube reviews.

If all goes well a fortnight today my friend will be flying back from the states (with my 64gb).
If all goes wrong and his flight out there is cancelled then i will be pre-ordering on 10/05.
My issue is that i will not actually be in the country 'end of May' so what happens if it ships and i am not there?? Will it go back? Can i get it shipped to a store and pick up on my return (01/06)?
Anyone got experience of this?
