Let's do some comparisons of US vs UK pricing (I've added the equivalent of UK tax to the US price to keep it fairer).

If Apple are being fair. The US price for the 32GB iPad model is the same price as the base level Mac Mini so the UK price for that should be around £510. I seriously doubt that it would be that low.
