Congrats on the quickish delivery. Looks like a lot of us will get them at the same time.
I didn't know it was a 3g until he listed a new one with '3g' in the title. He said it's shipping tomorrow through DHL. I have opened a dispute with paypal. Mainly because he has said now that there will not be a receipt, so if there is a problem.... I'm screwed!
I done my research and apparently you do not need a reciept. They use the serial number to determine the date it was made. However when it gets to end of warrenty you need a reciept to proove the date you bought it as the official warrenty will have ran out.
Anyway I would get a refund as it is way too false to be true.
Also if anyone is still wanting to import Ipads then check Amazon.

$625 for New Ipads shipped by merchants, pretty decent prices compared to Ebay.
You will probably have to contact the sellers to make sure they are willing to ship to the UK first. Not sure if Amazon has but anything in place to prohibit shipping though.

it's easy... just go to paypal.com and sign up. Just make sure to select USA.. oh and yes you'll need as US postal address...hotels are good
Tried that. Set up US PAYPAL account, sent some money from UK account, set up US iTunes account, tried to tie account to US paypal account and got stopped because the account wasn't linked to a US bank account or credit card. Any suggestions?

That's exactly how I felt. Well done. This means it should be on the way to your local depot overnight and if you were able to speak to them really early in the morning to pay the charges you might just secure delivery tomorrow.

Talking of ipad apps. There's quite a few that have temporary price reductions or are free until the end of this week on the itunes appstore. I've downloaded quite a few to get ready for when my ipad arrives. They all seem available on the UK store.
Worth checking out. I use http://appshopper.com to check 'em out. It's much easier to browse then the real appstore and when you hit the buy it button. It takes you to the correct UK app in itunes.

Awesome link, thanks for that. I was dreading trying to find Ipad apps as it is really awful searching for them.
Also seeing the discounts is great, get them while they are cheap.
I would say the absoloute bare minimum cheapest it will be is £389-£399. ( Basically the american price + VAT with about £10 extra for other costs)
Most likley it will be £449-£499
However nobody knows.

The iPhone one is miles better. Presume they'll update it to cater for more categories as more apps become available.

Oh woops, I read that as US Paypal account when I answered , I must be going mad. You still need a US Itunes account for Ibooks and a few of the main touted apps for the Ipad.
