Ordered the 256GB Space Grey. I've wanted to have that grey a long time, even if some might be bored by it. Shipment is 15-29 Oct. Sigh. One part of me wished I would have ordered earlier to get the early release, but the other part is glad that I took my sweet time contemplating cons and pros between the different storage sizes. Now I feel like I made an informed choice. Will be exciting to see reviews and experiences in the coming weeks. :)

Man, I wish Apple created a Smart Keyboard case for the iPad Mini! Once again, they neglected the keyboard part and opted for a case instead.
Such a keyboard would be pretty small.
Just a reminder that you can use any bluetooth keyboard with an iPad.
I have occasionally used a spare Magic Keyboard with my iPad Mini when I want to do a bunch of typing and don't want to get out a Mac. Obviously not ideal, and not very portable, but it is an option.

So I decided to order the Space Grey iPad Mini 6 256GB with AppleCare+. I was really considering the iPad Pro 11 inch 128GB however I decided that I really don't need a tablet that big. The form and size factor on the Mini 6 and I'm not really a power user drew me towards the Mini 6. The 64GB of storage is too little for my usage, while 256GB of storage is too much for me. I wished that Apple had a 128GB iPad Mini 6 and it would've have been perfect for me. Oh well, it was a bad decision on Apple's part to not have the 128GB Mini 6 as an option.

OK, am in with a Purple 64Gb Cellular, due for delivery 24th September.

This is mainly for use as a notebook and portable teaching device, which is what I'm using the Air 4 for at the moment.

Ordered a 64GB mini with cellular. This will be my first cellular iPad. I think this will compliment my 12.9 wifi-only well! Now I need to sell my Kindle...

I just preordered a 256 MB mini 6 wi-fi in starlight. I will pick it up at an Apple Store on Saturday morning 9/25. I was originally going to order purple, but shipments of that color have now slipped to mid to late October. Besides, starlight was starting to grow on me as a color anyway, and bezels are all dark anyway. This is the first time I ever pre-ordered an Apple device. My Mini 5 trade in will cover more than a third of the cost.

Always late to these....

Replacing a Mini 5 64gb WiFi with a Space-Gray Mini 6 256GB Wifi. Ordered direct on Tuesday 9/14 @10PM EST for 9/24/21 delivery.

Mini 5 in excellent condition was trade valued at $225.

Smart trade in

They are offering the same $225 to ALL models of the iPad mini 5

Even the highest end spec (Cellular with 256gb) -- still just $225

That is correct. My wife has a 64 MB Mini 5, and the trade in would be the same. I would had swapped with her but she doesn’t need or use the extra storage, and her battery is newer.

Every time I try to use iPadOS as a desktop replacement, I am left disappointed because iPadOS is still so limited and any time you want to do anything that is desktop-eque, you have to come up with workarounds.

The M1 Macs, with their excellent battery life are basically on the same level as the iPads except with macOS, which makes doing work much easier, at least for me.

Good luck.

I don't mean a notebook computer, I mean a notebook for taking notes!

I have an M1 iPad Pro 12.9 already.

Shipping on my order (Purple 64, and a purple case) said "Arrives September 24th," yesterday, and now there's no date. Hmmmmm. It just says "Arrives."

Usually, they can't get launch day stuff to Eastern Canada on launch day. My iPhone 12 Pro arrived Saturday (somehow). It's usually the following Monday or Tuesday because they hold everything for North America, and we take an extra day to deliver.

I'm going to get one yes but can't decide on colour currently.
I feel a little underwhelmed with colour this time - Not a huge fan of pink or purple, space grey is a safe bet but I'm a little tired of that colour. Starlight I could take it or leave it but I need to see it in person to judge better.

Is anyone else a little underwhelmed with the colour options? compared to the iPad Air for example?
I know its subjective etc but I can't seem to make my mind up. Not really wanting to wait until the 24th to go to store either as its busy and I'd rather order online.

I'm in the U.S. and I'm seeing the same thing. Previously it said Arrives 9/24...now just the word Arrives. Hopefully it's just a weird glitch caused by iPhone pre-order day. Trying to remind myself that I didn't actually expect the iPad mini to even be announced until October, so not to be disappointed if it doesn't get here on 9/24. But...I want my iPad!! ?
