Like you , I'm not a purple, pink fan. Gray looks boring to me. Went with the unseen Starlight. New color, looks clean, and classy as far as I can tell. I always use a clear case on iPads and iPhones.

Yes, several have mentioned it already. Mine is doing the same thing. It changed from a recent order to a past order as well. Cant cancel or change it right now either. Its either a glitch in the system, they are facing production issues and its going to get pushed back, its getting ready to ship or they saw Costco has them cheaper and they don't want us canceling and ordering from Costco
My 10s Max was gold. I had forgotten what color it was, and was shocked as I was taking it out of the Otterbox case to clean it prior to shipping it. Seeing it, I had instant regret for selling it, but it is only 'a phone'.
Yeah, I've seen people, in-store, fretting over color, and putting it in a full coverage case. It doesn't matter, in the end. Unless you have a see-thru case, or go naked. I ordered the starlight color because it was the only one available to ship on time, and it appears it may be here Monday, going on the estimates from the iPad Mini page. Cool...
I just have to wait for the Otterbox case that will engulf the thing, never to show its true color ever again.

That's not the iPad arriving on the 20th, it's the pencil.
I ordered early hours in the morning after the Apple event and there was only one day and time (26 September) to select from to pick up my order from the Apple Store. Now if you purchase the iPad mini it will be available to pick up on the 24th. Did this happen to anyone else in Australia?
Usually the products are in store the same day pre-orders arrive. I would expect a waiting line though. You also got people who want to buy the iPhone 13 on the same line. So it’ll be doubly busy.
Uh, yeah. So did most people here. And like most, the charge hasn’t hit my card yet. Totally normal. They usually don’t charge until the shipment process begins.
Or, maybe you misunderstood my comment regarding the site opened. I wasn’t talking about today. Not getting a phone. Talking about when they reopened the store after the event.

Had a change of heart, cancelled 256 WiFi and ordered 64 Cellular, for what I want I need the iPad to always be connected, even if it's just a small data plan and then I tether for heavy use
The store is getting hammered now, so it probably can't pull all the information right now.

Yes, I decided that for the same cost the cellular would be more useful than the 256GB. I only went 256GB to allow me to dump a 64GB SD card when out doing photography. I've only filled a card once in 6 years and realistically should have enough storage to import whatever photos I need to at that time. If I need to dump a full card I can also split it in 2 and offload onto an SSD
I have had 1 cellular iPad before, the original Air, found it useful, but as you say, you don't tend to take the bigger iPad out and about as much.
I’ve done the same as you, gone with Starlight! Hope we both like that colour!
