Does anyone else not have a pending charge on their credit card for their order?

I do. I live in Europe and my model config, atm 4-6 weeks delivery time, still says delivery on 9/24. And my bank account has the 889€ pending charge for a least two days now. But I ordered the moment orders went live.

Can't wait for it. Very excited as a long time iPad mini user.

So presumably you can copy (or move) directly from SD card to external SSD, without a two-step process of copying to iPad first?

This is correct.

I have just checked to confirm before i replied.

I plugged the hub into my iPP and connect the T7t via USB 3.0 connector and placed a micro SD into the slot.

Both of the storage devices are recognised in the Files app.

I went into the T7t and selected a file and opted to ‘move’ it to the SD card.

With the transfer complete, i removed the T7t and opened the SD card in Files and voila, the transferred file is there in full.

The Samsung T7t is a brilliant portable drive. Fingerprint secure. Fast transfer speeds. Very compact… and a cheaper than the storage upgrade on the iPad. £140 for an additional 192GB of storage

I'm ready to order the Starlight Mini, but for once, I need it to deliver after the release day. I'm going to be at an out-of-state funeral from September 24–26, so I need it to deliver on the 27th. So I guess I'll just wait to order. I'd do pickup at a local Apple Store, but the lines and restrictions and general hysteria there are a no-go.

Mine looks the same way, although up until early yesterday it said "Arrives September 24" and my confirmation email also says the 24th. Really hoping it's just a glitch that will sort itself out once it moves to Preparing for Shipment. I am also trading in a mini, for what it's worth.

Ugh.....lined up an order a SG cellular 256GB in my cart, and while I've been on the phone with Apple trying to correct a gift card redemption issue, delivery has slipped from 9/24 to 10/13.

I think they will be plentiful in stores.

Has anyone else got a pending charge on their card different from the amount of their orders? I used Apple Card and strangely there is a large pending charge that doesn’t match up with any of my recent orders although it shows as being an Apple Store purchase. Very confused…

Some companies put a 'hold' on cards that exceeds the actual charge.

Most of the 64GB 5G models still have 9/24 shipping dates. It’s 256GB with mid-October shipping now.

While this doesn't read like it, you probably know that you can order it anytime you like and then manage the delivery date with the deliverer. For example, UPS, FEDEX, etc lets you adjust WHEN something is delivered once they have it. They would let you choose the 27th or any date you like.

Ordered the cheapest one from Expercom which didn't charge tax, so I ended up saving around $50. Chose Starlight.

Will be selling my 2nd Gen iPad mini, finally. I waited until they got rid of the bezel. I'm not upgrading my iPhone until they get rid of the notch. More than happy with the SE.

I always tether for internet, so I never needed the cellular option.

I wish they sold a leather version of the case.

I traded in my ipad mini 2 that I got from Walmart for 200.00 about a year after they came out and Apple gave me 50.00 trade in. Sales tax here is about 34.00 so for me this was a little better deal then Expercom because they wont accept mini 2 as a trade in. Maybe could have sold the mini 2 for about 20.00? and came out better with Expercom? Not sure how they get away with no sales tax unless they report the sales to my state and then I have to pay it anyway when I file income tax.

For the first time ever, I preordered an Apple product (never preordered anything, really). iPad Mini 6, 256GB in Space Gray. Traded in my Air 4 and only had to shell out a bit (compared to buying in full, which in Europe sucks compared to pricing in America). Couldn’t be more excited …. Now if only I could find a good case!

Re: cases, disappointed regarding the lack of color options with Apple’s folio lineup. And frankly, I need something a bit more rugged, as I’ll be taking the mini out into the field. Hmmm.

FWIW, picking up from an authorized Apple Store here in Spain, with a confirmed pickup for the 24th. Hoping it’ll actually be here then! Glad I’m not relying on shipping for once.

I ordered late so I'm getting mine in the middle of October. But that's okay since I hope there'll be a healthy category of iPad Mini cases on Amazon by then, as they usually have the biggest selection if I want to order in Northern Europe. I would love to have some kind of origami variant so that it can stand in portrait mode also.

Lines and hysteria? This isn't 2010 any longer. Most people order online these days. Not to mention many seem to be sitting this new iPhone out and I doubt the Mini is going to cause some kind of hysteria lol. I haven't seen lines and hysteria at an Apple store in ages, and I live near Los Angeles.

Just ordered the starlight but it looks too beige for me, so went for the pink,
Also just listed my iPad air 4 in the marketplace. Here’s what it said when I googled it.
Starlight is the most neutral color and replaces the previous silver style. Compared to silver, starlight almost appears to be slightly tan.

The description I have heard for describing the Starlight color is champagne.
